  1. Dianne, How you touch so many people, how you know just what we need and when we need it. Amazing! Can’t be anything but me and I know me because everyday God shows me more of what it is like to just be me and it is OK! I don’t get it right every time but yes don’t give up keep trying and ask for the Holy Spirit to show the way or how should I approach it again? Sometimes like the song, “You say it best when you say nothing at all” Just let the Love show through…They will come…Authentic, just be me.

    1. Amen… it is learning to be calm in the storm and asking…ASKING THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE LORD GOD TO GO BEFORE YOU IN THE STORM~ We must ask and He comes. Amen. There are many times we go off and forget to ask… I’ve had my share of that… and then my share of not listening to that gut feeling when I should have. It is all to learn how to come closer. Amen.

  2. This is a really profound blog. It left me pondering much of what you wrote. We all need to learn to be more authentic and not get caught up in the world’s ways. And although God didn’t give me a good singing voice, my teenage nephew has inspired me that I can improve it. I may just take up singing lessons!

    1. Go For It! I Love to sing but my voice is not good any more but, 2 of my granddaughters love my music, singing and playing the organ and it is uplifting to be with them which is more important and means even more to me! I am always Thanking the Lord for bringing reasons why my granddaughters want to come around to be with their Emma!

      1. Emma is for grandma as the little one can’t say grandma so everyone calls me Emma now! Smile

      2. I love that! I have two grandsons: two and almost four. When they come over, we play music and dance. I also saved my son’s harmonica and recorder which they love to play and parade around the house.

    2. Go for it. I remember singing my heart out in the car when my kids were very small and my son saying… as he held his ears, Mom please stop singing it hurts my ears. I loved singing… but I think I turned the radio up louder to drown me out and kept on singing. He was okay with that. LOL. We still laugh about that to this day.

  3. LORD I DON’T WANT TO DO ONE THING ON MY OWN,
PUT ME WHERE YOU WANT ME LORD, THAT’S WHERE I BELONG.
GIVE ME THE STRENGTH LORD TO DO THY PERFECT WILL.
WHEN I’M IN THE LOWEST VALLEY I CAN CLIMB THE HIGHEST HILL.

            CHORUS

LORD I WANT TO BE WHAT YOU’D WANT ME TO BE.
LORD I WANT DO THE THINGS YOU’D WANT ME TO DO.
LORD HELP ME STAY IN THE CENTER OF THY WILL.
WHEN I’M IN THE LOWEST VALLEY I CAN CLIMB THE HIGHEST HILL.
                         II

THIS OLD WORLD GETS MORE WICKED EVERY DAY,
PEOPLE’S HEARTS ARE GROWING COLD FORGOTTEN HOW TO PRAY.
IF I LIVE TO BE A HUNDRED I’LL KEEP HOLDING TO YOUR HAND.
TILL YOU COME AND TAKE ME HOME LORD TO THAT PROMISED LAND.

                      CHORUS

LORD I WANT TO BE WHAT YOU’D WANT ME TO BE.
LORD I WANT TO DO THE THINGS YOU’D WANT ME TO DO.
LORD HELP ME STAY IN THE CENTER OF THY WILL.
WHEN I’M IN THE LOWEST VALLEY I CAN CLIMB THE HIGHEST HILL.

  4. Such a great article Dianne, I really needed it, have been writing and writing and waking up, my life has been in such shambles I forgot there were once things I loved to do and dreamed about. I pray the Holy Spirit will direct me to fulfill some of my dreams and ideas and lead me have the courage to take them on.

  5. This is an amazing article! Thank you so much! Gave me happy tears 🥲

  6. “Can’t couldn’t do anything”, was an old quote my granny pressed on us kids. And she loved her fanny whackers…LOL

    1. My 5th grade teacher taught us this. Oddly enough I have never forgotten it.

      Drive the nail aright
      Strike it on the head
      Strike with all your might
      While the iron is red

      When there’s work to do
      Do it with a will
      Those who reach the top
      First must climb the hill

      Standing at the top
      Looking at the sky
      How would you’ve got up
      If you never tried

      Though you sometimes fail
      Never be downcast
      Try try again
      You will succeed at last
      🙂

  7. Oh my goodness, I just love this message of being authentic! All my life I pushed to follow my hearts desire . My family life was good and I was much loved! But I always knew there was more to life than existing! My search was on for God. At the age of 12 I changed forever! Jesus came into my life and I’ve never looked back! Taking the narrow path is normal to me and I question everything! I’ve chosen to be a mother, devoted wife, homeschooled when others thought I was crazy, now choosing to live with my daughter and grandkids so I can homeschool them and serve my family! Thank you for encouraging others to follow who they are and seek Jesus to fulfill His calling for them!!! Hugs

  8. Thank you so much for being your authentic self, Dianne. This message was timely, today, as I’ve been struggling in some areas of my own authenticity. The past three years has taken a toll on me, both physically and emotionally. Pain and grief can really do a number on a person. Add to that, “waking up” started in 2020 and that turned my world upside down. I’m still digging and learning, and it’s all so crazy. As I was listening to Mike Adams (I am pretty sure was him but, it could’ve been LT from And We Know), he mentioned one of your blogs and I’ve been here ever since. You are the only “Truther”, I’ve experienced, that seems to actually get it, stays consistent, and has a level head. Most importantly, you keep it so real and steady with keeping God at the head and seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit. This is of most importance, and you never falter. May He continue to bless you and continue giving you the words to write.

  9. Dianne,
Thank you for this uplifting article. I can relate to all you have said here.
I was told all of my childhood that I was stupid and my life wouldn’t amount to anything by my dad. Well at 30 and raising two children myself I went to get my Nursing degree. As I walked down the aisle after getting pinned, I looked at my dad and said, Am I good enough now? I knew I was and really didn’t care how he felt.
Life’s lessons are amazing to me. Don’t ever say you can’t to me.
God and His Spirit have guided me throughout life and it is only Him whom I choose to please.
    God bless you sister.

  10. My Grandmother told me one day when i was in my teens that I march to a different plumber! lol .And that was why people did not exactly like my ideas and thoughts that I freely dropped into conversations. My parents felt I was uncontrollable and it caused a lot of tension.
One day I was talking with my sister about things going on in the world at the time and she told me Sis you see the world through a different lens, no one has ever talked to me about things the way you do.
I always thought I was off kilter in my views until one day I found a board that was talking about things I had been aware of for years!! The Anons knew! and Q filled in a lot of the questions I had. Now as an old lady I spend time gardening and telling my grandkids all my stories and teaching them the truth of the real world and how to be a free thinker in this unthinking world. God has a place for all of us truth seekers and a purpose for us all and it’s so Beautiful and wonderful! We live in color and not in this present gloom! The light is shining, the sun is bright, enjoy it now! have a blessed day Dianne

    1. Be what you seem to be,
Seem to be what you really are.

This was a quote from a book I read years ago about “excavating your authentic self”
      I still remember it.
It hurts your heart when people dont recognize that quality of authentic or genuine. .It’s all I have . Your article had great timing as I was a bit deflated and was thinking I didn’t have much to offer God
      Thank you so much

  11. Dianne, this was a beautiful writing to wake up to this morning. Authentic is a powerful thing to be and so many of us, myself included at times fail to do be our authentic selves. One thing that has always stuck with me since I first heard it many years ago in 1990 is the song by Aaron Tippin “You’ve Got To Stand For Something”. This is the chorus:
He’d say, “You’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything
You’ve got to be your own man not a puppet on a string
Never compromise what’s right and uphold your family name
You’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything”.

I have tried to tried to instill this into my children as well. I have always tried to not “go along to get along”, but at times have let others sabotage those efforts to appease others even when I knew it wasn’t the right thing to do. I do believe we should compromise with others on some things but not at the expense of compromising what God would lead us to do. I have never been an “in the crowd” or “do the most popular thing” person. I have what I feel are strong Christian values and it’s really hard sometimes when you have friends and family who just don’t fully understand how deep those values go.

My prayer today is that many others find and read your writing of this article and apply it to their own selves and that I may become even stronger in my authenticity. Thank you for all you do. Keep writing!
    Becky

  12. This is very different for you, Diane. I appreciate a little diversity. I shared it. I don’t get to read all of your blogs, but what I do really enjoy. I also enjoy all of the video and music clips. Thank you for what you do!
