Yeshua and Mary…

A Light To The World Then And Now!

Jesus came at a time when darkness filled the earth and men had lost their way. They knew not how to come to the light of God. The Temple was filled with corruption, and man- made doctrine of men. It was time for Jesus to come and show people the way to return to His Father, who is the one true God of Israel. His disciples were called the followers of the way because he was showing them all the ways of coming to the Light of God, using our eyes and eye as one with God. That knowledge of becoming one with God had been hidden from them. There had never been an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on to all people.

We have come full circle and now… we are a generation filled with darkness that is seeking that very same light!

The Holy Spirit descended on Jesus as a dove. Jesus was preparing the disciples of how to be a follower of the way to receive the gifts from the Father and to be one with all – “The Father, The Holy Spirit and The Son of God”. Their task would soon be to go into all the world and teach the nations the way of the Lord as he had taught them.

He spoke that they would receive the Holy Spirit and do even greater things than He did. He was ushering in the way of the Priesthood of the Order of Melchizedek. For the day was coming when the shadows of the works of the temple would be made manifest within each person. They would become the temple and the Holy of Holies would reside within them. This was all new to every disciple, they had never heard such teaching as how the way to the Father and to the Kingdom of God was within each person. They were hungry to hear all there was about it.

That being said what proof is there in our Bibles that even give an inclination, let alone a truth to Yeshua ever being married? And why do those who believe He was married also believe his chosen wife was Mary of Magdalene? And if it were so, wouldn’t the Bible tell us this?

Well, yes it would and many believe that it does. It is another one of those thinking, feeling, choosing things that lead us to the light. It is one of the same things we have learned concerning the parables. That is when we gain a bit of understanding of the customs of the Jews, our eyes open wider to what they mean.

So let the journey begin and dive on in!

Why Would Yeshua Have Been Married?

Does our own Bible show us that Jesus was married and Mary Magdalena was the wife of Jesus the Christ on earth. Many believe so. Let me first share with you some Jewish Customs.

According to the Custom of the Laws of The Temple at the time of Jesus, in order for a man to be called a Master or a Rabbi, and teach in the temple, they had to be at least 30 years old, MARRIED and HEAD OF A HOUSEHOLD. It was said that if a man was not able to manage and lead his own household, how could he be able to lead the House of God. It was also an obligation of all the Jews to wed and have children.

According to the Custom of the Jews it was an obligation to have children and be fruitful and multiply.

1. It is a mitzvah to marry, procreate, and have children.
2. It is forbidden to “waste seed” (i.e., emit semen without purpose).

The duty to have children is based on the rabbinic interpretation of a verse in the Book of Genesis 1:28: “Be fruitful and multiply.” The Talmud (Mishnah Yevamot 6:6) cites the following: According to the school of Shammai, being fruitful and multiplying is interpreted as having a minimum of two sons, while according to the Hillel school it is interpreted to mean a son and a daughter (because the Bible says “male and female He created them”). 

The scriptures also tell us that the Pharisees, Sadducees and priests all sought for something to accuse him of but they could NOT FIND ANYTHING TO FAULT HIM WITH BECAUSE HE FOLLOWED ALL OF THE LAWS and CUSTOMS of THE TEMPLE. 

Luke 11:53-54 tells us that the scribes and the Pharisees tried many ways to provoke him to anger so he’d say something they could accuse him of. The easiest thing would have been to attack Him for not following the laws of Talmud to marry and be head of a household, but they never did that. Why?

Luke 11:53-54 –“53And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehmently, and to provoke him to speak of many things. 54Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

As it was, the Jews themselves would have never flocked to him, if he was not a bonafide Rabbi and teacher in their eyes with their customs. Yeshua was even called “Rabboni,” twice, which is a more elevated form of Rabbi, which means, “my lord, my master” (Mark 10:51; John 20:16) As it is, there’s not one scripture that has the Pharisees and Saducees shouting, HOW DARE YOU CALL YOURSELF A MASTER…YOU ARE NOT EVEN MARRIED NOR HEAD OF A HOUSEHOLD!  Which if one were to reason this, one might wonder why they didn’t poke around there if they could. They tried all types of things. Yeshua was of the lineage of David, of the House of Judah, in line to be King of Jerusalem. It would be the perfect royal wedding, if he was married and head of a household with the Queen of the tribe of Benjamin, Mary of Magdalene. That is why King Herod had the children killed…remember?

Next we go to the wedding of Cana. 

Jesus and his disciples are invited to a wedding in Cana (KJV) and His mother is there. There is a list of customs involving the Jewish wedding ceremony but we will just cover a few here. When the bride agrees to wed, the groom goes and prepares a house for her. When the home is built, the groom waits for his father to approve it and give him permission to go and wed his bride. The bride does not know when the groom shall come…so she always keeps oil in her lamps and is prepared to go with him at any hour. If this is sounding familiar…it is because it reflects the parable of the ten virgins and oil in their lamps, as well as the message Yeshua gave at the Lord’s Supper which was that of the bride of Christ. It is the same arrangement as the Jewish wedding custom. The Jews all understood the marriage customs so they knew what he was talking about, just not sure how he was intending to do it all. It is the modern day gentile that has a harder time understanding it all, for most don’t know the Jewish customs. When we look at the customs…it relates and is easier to understand. So as custom for the Jews the grooms family puts on the wedding. The mother of the grooms responsibility is to prepare the festivities and also make sure the guests have what they need…like wine!!!  So when the guests were out of wine…it was expected for her to go to her son and say…they are out of wine. Do something.

Now according to Jewish custom it is taboo to ever order another person’s servants. And if a servant obeyed anyone except their master…they would be flogged. You just didn’t do that. So the servant had to be of the household of Mary and Jesus or those servants would have been reprimanded and Mary would have been shamed and told to leave the wedding, for it was also taboo to order anyones servants other than your own. You just didn’t do that.

So unless we want to look at Mary and Yeshua (Jesus) as disrespectful to Jewish customs and rude at weddings, unafraid to be bossy and take it upon themselves to order servants around, knowing the servants will be punished for listening to her, and to Him… we can use our discernment to see this was a rather different situation other than the one we have been told. So let us look at this wedding a little closer.

We start from reading the book of John in Aramaic translation in the Peshitta. Which goes along with the same events as the book of John in Chapter 2. What is different are the names of a few things…like the town the wedding is in.

John 2 Peshitta Holy Bible Translated – Wedding in Qatna (Cana?)

1And on the third day there was a wedding feast in Qatna, a city of Galilee, and the mother of Yeshua was there. 2And also Yeshua himself and his disciples were invited to the wedding banquet, 3And it was lacking wine, and his mother said to Yeshua, “There is no wine for them.” 4Yeshua said to her, “What do we have in common, woman? My hour has not quite yet come.” 5His mother said to the servants, “Whatever he says to you, do.” 6But there were there six watercasks of stone, set for the purifying of the Judeans, which held two or three nine-gallon-measures each. 7Yeshua said to them: “Fill the watercasks with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8He said to them: “Draw out now and take to The Master of Ceremonies.” 9And when The Master of Ceremonies tasted that water that had become wine, and did not know from where it was, ( but the servants knew, for they had filled them with water ) the Master of Ceremonies called the bridegroom, 10And he said to him: “Every man first calls for the good wine, and when they are drunk, then that which is inferior, but you have kept the good wine until now.” 11This first miracle Yeshua did in Qatna of Galilee and he manifested his glory, and his disciples believed in him. 12After this he went down to Capernaum, he, his mother, his brothers and his disciples, and they were there a few days.

It ends most interesting as there is no name given to the bridegroom and the bridegroom appears to be taking credit for the wine. There is no glory to Yeshua from the bridegroom bestowing the thanks on Him for performing this miracle. Yet, the disciples know as it says in the passage, “and he manifested his glory, and his disciples believed in him.”  How could his glory be manifested if he was not given the glory of doing this to the Master of Ceremonies which was the father of the bride?

It appears Jesus is the bridegroom. No one had to say it was Jesus for they all knew it at the time. Those who know the Jewish customs know that it had to be Jesus or the aftermath of so much disrespect of Jewish Wedding Customs would have gotten him and his mother removed in disgrace and shame from the feast.

Now Jesus (Yeshua) leaves and everyone who was at the wedding feast is with him as it states in John 2, verse 12.  

After the wedding, they go on to Jerusalem where the passover of the Jews is taking place and we see Yeshua is zealous for His Father’s house and drives the money changers out.

Then In John 3:22, we find Yeshua and his disciples have come into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized along side with John, who is called in the Penshitta, “Yohannan”. It appears that everyone who was in his party in Qatna is still with him as they have all went together and haven’t made it to Galilee yet.

Penshitta- John 3:22 – 30: 22 After these things, Yeshua and his disciples came to the land of Judea, and he was employed there with them and he baptized. 23 But Yohannan (John) was also baptizing in Ainyon next to Shalim, because there was water there, and many were coming and were baptized. 24 For Yohannan (John) had not yet gone to prison.

25 But there was a dispute between one of Yohannan’s disciples and a certain Judeaen about purification. 26 And they came to Yohannan and said to him: “Our Rabbi, (Yeshua) he who was with you at the crossing of Jordan, about whom you testified, Behold, he is baptizing and many are coming to him.”  27Yohannan answered and said to them: “A man cannot receive anything of his own will unless it is given to him from Heaven. 28 You are bearing me witness that I said I am not The Messiah, but I am the one sent before him. 29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom (meaning John himself who was the one who prepared the way for him) who stands and listens for him rejoices with great joy because of the voice of the bridegroom. Therefore this, my joy, behold, it is full. 30 It is necessary for him to increase and for me to decrease.

Compare it to the King James Version

John 3:27-30 KJV

²⁷ John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. ²⁸ Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. ²⁹ He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. ³⁰ He must increase, but I must decrease.”

However, we find in John chapter 4 verse 2 that ² (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) He goes to Galilee.

John 4:43-45- “And after two days, Yeshua went out from there and left for Galilee. 44 For Yeshua had been testifying that a Prophet is not honored in his city. 45But when he came to Galilee, the Galileans received him because they saw all the miracles that he did in Jerusalem at the feast, for they had also gone to the feast.

What? The feast was in Jerusalem? We thought it was in Cana (Qatna)? Up to this point the only miracles Jesus had ever performed at a feast was at the wedding. There had been no other feasts. We have followed Him from the wedding to here.

So where exactly was the wedding feast? Now we hear it was in Jerusalem… so where is Qatna? Cana is it a city of Galilee? It isn’t a fishing villiage by the sea as many have said.

When we research this, we find that Qatna is a Palestinian town in the central West Bank part of the Jerusalem Governorate, located 12 km. northwest of Jerusalem.

It is in Jerusalem, as the scripture says!

It is not to be confused with Qatana in Syria. It is officially called Qatanna, and unofficially called Qatna and Katanneh.

John 4:46 But Yeshua came again to Qatna of Galilee, where he had made the water wine, and a servant of a certain King was staying in Kapernahum, whose son was ill. 47 This man had heard that Yeshua came from Judea to Galilee and he went to him and was imploring him to come down and heal his son, for he was coming close to dying. 48Yeshua said to him, “If you will not see signs and wonders, you will not believe.”

John 4:54-KJV ⁵⁴ “This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.” This clarifies that the feast he performed the miracle at was the wedding feast.

The Question is, why go back to Qatna if they were just at someone’s wedding that had no connection to him? This sounds like the home of a relative to which He is welcomed to come in and rest.  

Which brings us to the question of…”where was the house that the groom built for his bride?”  We see through the scriptures  there is a place in Capernaum that the Lord resided when he retreated from the mission of going unto the people to teach.

The city of Capernaum, which is only recorded in the Gospel scriptures, is located on the northwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee. During the New Testament period, it was one of Galilee’s economic centers. Jesus, near the beginning of his public ministry, left Nazareth and made Capernaum his primary residence (Matthew 4:13 – 17) during his entire ministry.

¹³ And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

¹⁴ That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

¹⁵ The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

¹⁶ The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

¹⁷ From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Note: It is clear that Jesus is fulfilling the words of the Prophet Isaiah by dwelling/living in Capernaum. Theologians have bent this to mean he lived with Peter. This clearly does not say he lived with Peter. Why do they bend this scripture? It appears to be to prevent any idea that Jesus was at all married and head of a household. He wasn’t mooching off of Peter’s house of which Peter had even left his household to follow Jesus.

Luke 18:28 KJV, “Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.”

When Jesus had went to Peter’s house in Capernaum…it says it is Peter’s house so you know where they were.

Penshitta – Matthew 8:14-15-14And Yeshua came to Shimeon’s house, and he saw his mother-in-law who lay, and a fever had seized her. 15And he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she arose and she was waiting on him. 

The Penshitta always points out when it is someone elses house by identifying it.

And followed later by Matthew 8:19-20 –¹⁹ “And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.²⁰ And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.” This did not mean he didn’t have a house. This meant his life was dedicated to His ministry and not like the Temple work. It was followed in the next verse with “²¹ And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.” and Jesus told him, follow me and let the dead bury their dead. Jesus was stressing the mission is one that must come first before all things in their lives. He already knew what each would do.

The journey home that Yeshua took was this: They left the west bank city of Qatna to Jerusalem for the passover, to Nichodemis’s house (Qatna?) then to Judaea Near Salim (Jerusalem), then onward to Samaria and meet the lady at the well. After 2 days they go to Galilee and see they receive him there for they saw what he did in Jerusalem…(Qatna), they go on into Galilee and performs his second miracle John 4:54, (so the wine was the first and now this is the second, the next feast comes in John 5, so the only feast was at the wedding in Qatna), and then they make it to Capernaum. We see a progressive journey from the west bank to Jerusalem then north, every town and area in sequence leading to Capernaum where Jesus now dwells.

Let us follow Jesus (Yeshua) in Mark and see where he dwelled. Knowing Peter had left his family to follow the way of Jesus (Yeshua).

Now we go to the Gospel of Mark: The scriptures are from the Peshitta Translation.

Mark 2:1 – 1Yeshua again entered Kapernahum for some days. When they heard that he was in the house, 2So many were assembled that it was not able to hold them before the door.  (Sure sounds like this means when they learned that he was home.)

“1Yeshua again entered Kapernahum for some days. When they heard that he was in the house, 2So many were assembled that it was not able to hold them before the door. He was speaking the word with them 3When a paralytic was brought to him, being carried by four men. 4Because they were not able to be brought near him due to the crowds, they went up to the roof and removed the roof tiles of the place where Yeshua was. They let down the litter in which the paralytic lay. 5When Yeshua saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “My son, your sins are forgiven you.” 6But some Scribes and Pharisees sitting there thought in their hearts, 7“Who is this speaking blasphemy? Who is able to forgive sins except God alone?” 8Yeshua knew in his Spirit that they were thinking these things in themselves. He said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts?” 9“What is easier to say to the paralytic: ‘Your sins are forgiven you’, or to say,’Arise, take your litter, and walk?” 10“But that you may know The Son of Man is authorized to forgive sins in the earth”, he said to the paralytic: 11“I say to you, get up, pick up your bed and go home.” 12And immediately he stood up, picked up his pallet and went out before the eyes of all of them, so that they were all astonished and they glorified God, as they were saying, “We have never seen such a thing!”

Then in Mark 3:19 we see he again returns home.

13And he went up a mountain and he called those whom he wanted and they came to join him. 14And he chose twelve to be with him, and to send them to preach 15And to be authorized to heal the sick and to cast out devils. 16And he gave Shimeon the name Kaypha, (KJV says: And Simon he surnamed Peter;) 17And to Yaqob, the son of Zebedee and to Yohannan the brother of Yaqob he assigned the name B’nay Regshay, which is B’nay Rama 18And Andreas and Philippus and Bar Tolmay and Mattay and Thoma and Yaqob son of Khalphi and Thadi and Shimeon the Zealot, 19And Yehudah Skariota, he who would betray him, and they came to the house.

(Again.. remember Simon Peter had left all to follow Jesus… the house they came to was Jesus’s house.)

In Mark Chapter 3, we learn the reason why his mother and family came to speak with him at his house and why the Lord said what he said.

Mark 3:20- 21 – 20 And crowds assembled again so that they were not going to be able to eat bread. 21And his relatives heard and they went out to take hold of him, for they were saying, “He has gone out of his mind.”

Yeshua had so many people flocking to his house he couldn’t even eat. His relatives went to help him because people were calling him crazy. The scribes who had pressed against his home (like today’s fake news and paparazzi at a celebrities home to catch them at something)

Mark 3:22-27 – 22And the Scribes who had come down from Jerusalem were saying, “He has Beelzebub in him and by The Ruler of devils he casts out devils.” 23And Yeshua called them, and he said to them in parables, “How is Satan able to cast out Satan?” 24“For if a kingdom will be divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand.” 25“And if a house will be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.” 26“And if Satan were to rise up against himself and be divided, he would not be able to stand, but it would be his end.” 27“A man cannot enter the house of a mighty one and rob his valuables, unless he first binds the mighty one, and then he shall plunder his house.”

This is parallel with what is taking place today and all through the ministry of the followers of the way. Darkness accusing the Lord using his gift of the light as an evil thing of darkness and sorcery, a new age… universal going to the light type of thing. Whereas there are two forces good and evil and it is the evil that corrupts that which is good. And the scribes have come to his home on a witch hunt! And accusing the Holy Spirit of God to be like the witchcraft of a sorcerer healing by the conjuring up of demons.”

Mark 3:28-30 – 28“Truly I say to you, all sins and blasphemies that the sons of men will blaspheme shall be forgiven them,” 29“But there is never forgiveness to whoever will blaspheme against The Spirit of Holiness, but he is condemned to eternal judgment;” 30 Because they were saying, “He has a foul spirit.”

The Lord is condemning all who say the Holy Spirit is a foul Spirit and tells them for all who say such things there is no forgiveness for you. He says the same things in other gospel scriptures… but in Mark it is clearly defined as to how it is to be applied.

Mark 3: 31: 35 – 31And his mother and his brothers came, standing outside, and they sent that they might call him to them. 32But the crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you.” 33And he answered and said to them, “Who is my mother and who are my brothers?” 34And he looked on those who were sitting with him and he said, “Here is my mother and here are my brethren.” 35“For whoever shall do the will of God is my brother and my sister and my mother.”

Jesus was making the distinction that he is from the Father and these are his earthly parents and siblings and all who follow him are his family. He was also making it clear that he did not need his mother to save him from the paparazzi of scribes seeking to find fault with him by their own accusations. He was in the middle of a heated battle between those who were accusing Him falsely and telling them the truth of the light of God.

In Mark 9:33 he says, “33And they came to Kapernahum and when they entered the house, he asked them, “What were you reasoning on the road among yourselves?”  So now Yeshua is home inside and he asks his disciples what they were talking about on the road. And in the next verse (34) it says they are silent because they had been arguing with each other who was the greatest among them. Something that continues on, the same as in the Gospel of Thomas and Gospel of Mary Magdalene. The struggle of fleshly pride at work.  The disciples keep their mouths shut and don’t tell Him what they were arguing about, but Yeshua knows already, for he knew it when he asked them. Yeshua goes on in the next verse (35) to teach them how they should be. He tells them that he who wants to be first shall be last, and the servant of every person. Meaning…if you want to be first than you must put yourself last as a servant to others.  A message he continued in his ministry and exemplified even more at the last supper when he washed his disciples feet and told them again how to be a servant to others. We are all to seek to serve God first and to serve others.

Now we have many interpretations and teachings in the church body that believe Jesus stayed at Peter’s home when he came to Capernaum.  If that was so, then are we also to say that Isaiah got it wrong and the modern theologians got it right? My discernment says Isaiah is right and Mark identified it when it was a specific person’s house. But each can believe what they choose.

Why? Because one time he went to Peter’s house and healed his sick mother in Capernaum, so therefore, Yeshua must live with Peter? Why? Because that is what the church taught them, Jesus is God and therefore God does not marry, He is Holy and they have taken Him out of the flesh and into a heavenly being while walking the earth, even though he came in the flesh and suffered all the temptations that we have and was perfect and sinned not. (Just like Mary Magdalene went to Gaul and preached for a year then spent 30 years in a cave doing penance for her sins.) The Lord is not supposed to be married, they have him as a monk who took a vow of chastity… even though that goes against the custom of the Jews and one of the commandments of God they held most sacred was to ‘be fruitful and multiply’. They all sought to have children to carry on their name. In fact a man could not even become a soldier to fight in Jerusalem’s armies until he was 30 years of age, which this purpose was to allow him time to marry and have a child to carry on his name in case he were killed in battle. If we are to believe that Yeshua never married and was celibate, then we must also acknowledge that by doing so he disobeyed Jewish Temple law which required all who taught in the temple, and hold the title of Rabbi, Master, teacher were first to be married and head of a household.

So we establish that Jesus began his ministry at the wedding in Qatna which is in the West Bank of Jerusalem…and not Cana.  We see he had a home to return to when he made his way to Capernaum after the wedding, for as Jewish custom…he prepared it before he went to get His bride.  We also take note that if the water had been turned into wine secretly… the witnesses in Jerusalem would not have known it was Jesus’s first miracle for the groom stood there and received all the glory for it and said nothing to give Yeshua the credit for it. When we read the wedding story with understanding of the customs, it is discernable that it didn’t have to be said. It was obvious that when the Master of Ceremonies called the groom to commend him on the wine, everyone knew it was Yeshua who was being praised and honored for this miracle.

If it had not been Yeshua who was the groom, it would have been a great insult and disservice to take the credit bestowed upon him for doing something someone else did, especially since this was the first Miracle of Yeshua. Taking glory for another’s person’s miracle would have been an outrage.

We established that it was the law of the Temple that a man had to be married and head of a household to be a Master, a Rabbi, and to Teach in the Temple. Jesus was called all of those titles and taught in the Temple.

Jesus did not preach celibacy, and there is no evidence that he practiced it. In Matthew 19:4-5 He said, ” 4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?“

The wedding feast lasted a week and on the seventh day…the wedding is consummated by the bride and the groom. So when the Lord said, it is not yet my time…he was showing that he was not yet married and head of the household to do such things publicly as a master.  But Mary insisted and she ordered the servants to do as her son said to do and Jesus told the servants what to do. And he turned the water into wine.

So let’s fast forward to the end where the groom is called before the governor which was the father of the bride. He says…how great the wine is and how he saved the best for last and the groom never bears testimony that this was by the hand of Jesus that it was done to give him glory for his VERY FIRST MIRACLE PERFORMED.  That just doesn’t happen. Why?  Because all reading the story of the time knew the wedding was the Lords and the groom standing before the governor was Jesus. So it was okay for Jesus to take credit for the wine. For it was Jesus who did it and Jesus who was being openly acknowledged for it.

So now we know he is 30 years old and married and head of a household. The very next thing Jesus does is head to John the Baptist and is baptized and receives the Holy Spirit on him as a dove. He then begins his ministry and Holy Priesthood. This priesthood is of the order of Melchelzidek.  Thus marking the end of the Aaronic Levitical Priesthood as the last born of the Levitical priestly line is John and he hands over the priesthood to the Lord, Yeshua who is annointed by the Holy Spirit A Priest forever by the Heavenly Order of Melchizedek, marking the end of the Temple Priesthood, literally. Read Hebrews.

The priests in the temple were all political appointments. The time of the Lord everything was so much like it is now…upside down and all over the place. Lawlessness when it came to God’s commands for his people. And they were under Roman rule. So Jesus begins his ministry.  Mary of Magdalene is his wife also making the prophesied union of the Messiah. As she is of the tribe of Benjamin and Jesus of Judah and this meant for the perfect Kingship which threatened King Herod who was given the title of king by Caesar as a favor to Mark Anthony.

Who is Mary of Magdalene?

Now the name Magdalene was not a last name, nor where she was from. It was a title of royalty, representing the Tower of the tribe of Benjamin. She was a princess in line to be Queen. The male Tower of the tribe of Benjamin was called the Magdal. Which the Magdal was a prince in line to be King.

So we have a royal title, of the one in line to be king or queen of the tribe of Benjamin. The male Magdal Prince or King, and the female Magdalena a princess who is in line to be Queen or the woman of the tribe. Magdal and Magdalena meaning the tower or great one of the tribe. So when we read Mary of Magdalena …we are reading her title. Mary the tower of the tribe of Benjamin -the princess or queen.

Temple duties of the tribe of Benjamin were to keep track of all the royal bloodlines and genealogy.

So Jesus the King of the tribe of Judah wed the Princess of the tribe of Benjamin and the utmost royal wedding. Making a divine Kingship of Judah and Benjamin.

After the death and ressurection of Yeshua (Jesus) Mary was arrested for teaching what the Romans and Priests said to be Johannine teachings and imprisoned. Later she was freed and Joseph of Arimathea took her and two other Mary’s at the cross… (Yep both of them) to the South of Gaul where Mary shared the gospel to the people there.

The salutations of 2nd John which is a letter, is geared to “The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;” That is a greeting to a very important lady. I would say…Mary of Magdalena…for the name Magdalena was a title. It meant tower of the tribe of Benjamin. Remember, the tribe of Benjamin was the tribe responsible for keeping track of genealogies of blood lines of the tribes of who was in line to be King and High Priest. The male pillar or chief of the tribe was called the Magdal and the female pillar of the tribe was the Magdalena. So when they addressed Mary of Magdalena…it was a title. Like saying Mary of great importance. Or more correctly, Mary the Pillar of the Tribe of Benjamin. They all gave her great reverence. It was not until 571 AD that the Pope declared her a whore. And Pope John II declared her a saint sometime in during his reign in our generation. I think it was in 1969 or so. But the letter appears to be directed at Mary. As it is said that John married her sister Martha and at the end he said in 2nd John 1:13– “The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.”

I suspect the papacy was angry at her remembrance in France for every year for 2,000 years they have celebrated the three Maries coming to France, Mary of Magdalena, Mary Jacob (Jesus’s mother) and Mary Salome (Mary mother of Jesus’s sister). She taught throughout the south of France and all the way up to Aix. There were many gypsys who worshipped the sun god throughout the Land and she converted many. The nature of John’s letter was a caution not to let others deceive her and to not bid those with strange doctrines fare well….something John would tell her to encourage her to stay in truth and not be swayed by the many anti- Christ’s she may encounter.

The same three Maries that arrived in the south of France and were the same three Maries at the cross and the same three Maries who went to the tomb. As custom goes for Hebrew, if the mother is widowed the son cares for her. If the son dies, then the next in line is the wife. It is always a family member who cares for the woman who is widowed. In this case… he looked at the disciple whom he loved and said behold thy mother.  As custom, she took in Mary her mother in law to her home. ( The same as Ruth stayed with Naomi as custom of Israel to stay and care for her husbands mother.) As we see she did through the three Maries arriving at the South of France without John.

See the book of Ruth.  Read it and see how the custom works and how Naomi.  Ruth before she became wed and an Israelite, she was of the Sons of Moab.  Naomi told her now that her husband was dead (Naomi’s son) she did not have to continue with the custom of Israel and could return to her people the Moabites. Ruth said, no…I am yet an Israelite and Love God and she did according to custom and careed for her. (Summarized here…not word for word in scripture.)

Ruth 1:15-16 – ¹⁵ And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.

¹⁶ And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Ruth went on to marry Boaz…and their descendants were to be Jessie and David. The lineage of the Lord Jesus the Christ. Boaz was descended from Nahshon, the son of Ammi Ruth 4:20–22; I Chron. 2:10–15), prince of the tribe of Judah in the generation of the wilderness (Num. 1:7). He lived in Bethlehem in the time of the Judges and is described as a “man of substance,” that is, a wealthy landowner employing many young men and women on his estate (Ruth 2:1).  The marriage came about in a most peculiar way according to the custom of the Israelites and Ruth’s obedience to God and the custom of the Israelites. (At this point in the Bible there still is no such thing as a Jew. Jews all come later…it was a name they gave those of the tribe of Judah after the nation of Israel was divided in the reign of King Solomon’s son.

Understanding the customs, let us now look again at the book of John at the women at the cross at the end of the book again. Ponder it. There is much to tell of the truth in history of how she got to France. Her arrest and her departure out of Jerusalem after the death of Jesus.

John 19:25-27

25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

It is the closest relative and custom for the daughter to take in the mother and care for her. John was not a relative nor was he in line with customs to take her into his home and care for her. He said Woman behold thy son…and to Mary he said. Behold thy (your) mother…(which meant, take her and care for her.) And Mary did … history shows she arrived at the south of Gaul (France) with Yeshua’s mother and His mothers sister.

Let me note that the greek form of the word “his” was used also for “her, she, he, they and theirs) the translators chose the word “he”. The book of John also was unauthored until the second century and was given the book’s title as John first by Theophilus of Antioch around (170 AD). Shortly after this Irenaeus identified John as the disciple who had leaned on Jesus’ breast. Irenaeus was a disciple of Polycarp, who had known the man John personally, so as the unselect committee goes, hearsay of the time if he understood it at all rules over facts. Unless, because of the male only domination in the church he said that to allow it to remain as an orthodox book to remain in the Bible. In said case..so be it. Amen.

It is obvious to those who have dug deep to seek truth that all things point to the disciple that Jesus loved as Mary the Magdalena, His companion (help meet) and the one that leaned on Jesus’s breast at the last supper. This makes much more sense than John, soing so. (John who Jesus called along with his brother James, the Sons of Thunder). John would not be leaning on Jesus’s breast at a supper. It just doesn’t fit him.

The pilgrimage to Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer became so popular, even after the Pope declared her a whore in 571 ad, (I’m sure to discredit her) but her celebration and honor continued to grow so that by 1343 the Pope established their celebration and made a new story to explain her. Which is different than the one that is the truth. The new story is she preached in Aix for about a year or so, then spent thirty years of her life in the top of Mt. Marseille in a Cave doing penance for her life sins. Angels dropped her manna to eat. She stayed in that cave and went no where for thirty years. Now all of that is a lie. It was made up to justify bringing her back into the fold after years of being made a whore. Quite simply, I believe with the days of news spreading, they could not hide it any more.

References to Mary Magdalene occur only in the Gnostic Gospels (of which ancient Coptic scrolls were found in Nag Hammadi in 1945 and in other sites in Egypt), texts that confirm that Mary Magdalene was an intimate companion of Jesus. The Gospel of Philip says: “There were three who walked with the Lord at all times: Mary his mother, her sister, and Magdalene, the one who is called his companion.” Mary Magdalene is described in this Gnostic gospel found at Nag Hammadi as having aroused the jealousy of the Apostles because she was the close companion or “consort” of the Lord, who often kissed her on the mouth.

It is clear from the four canonical Gospels that Mary Magdalene enjoyed special precedence in the community of believers, since she was the first person to see and speak to Jesus at the tomb, having hurried to his tomb at first light to perform embalming rites for his dead body. Of which she would have only done had she been his wife, according to customs, the wife or mother if no wife would perform this ceremony. There are seven lists in the four Gospels that name the women who accompanied Jesus. In six of the seven, the name of Mary Magdalene is given first–ahead of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and ahead of the other women mentioned. The Gospel writers, beginning with Mark, are most likely reflecting the status of the Magdalene in the Christian community–that of First Lady.

It has been the consensus of Christians for nearly two thousand years that Yeshua (Jesus) was not a man of a man in the flesh, (an earthen vessel) filled with the Holy Spirit of God. And it possessed a powerful charisma of the light of God that so inevitably led to his crucifixion as a political threat and the anger that followed after he rose from the dead and the graves were opened and many witnessed to the people in the area for 40 days…Matthew 27:52, led to the desperate flight of his immediate family out from Jerusalem. 

Matthew 27:50-56

⁵⁰ Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

⁵¹ And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

⁵² And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

⁵³ And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

⁵⁴ Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

⁵⁵ And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

⁵⁶ Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.

There simply was no John at the cross. If he had been it would have been written. There were only three women named who were within hearing range at the cross. All of his friends had abandoned him as it was written in Mark.

Who is Mary of Magdalene?

Yeshua, The King of the Tribe of Judah and Mary, the Queen of the Tribe of Benjamin would have made for the perfect Royal Kingship.

Remember, King David was of Judah and his first wife was the daughter of Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin. Yeshua was both in line to be high priest and the King of Judaea. This Royal Wedding made both King Herrod and the High Priest Caiaphas very nervous for both of their positions were given by political appointment. Not by lineage and Jewish law of the Temple.

There is so much more that can be said of this … but for now this is enough to ponder. Whether Yeshua was or was not married, it would not take anything away from Him to be married. For it is written of him that he came in the flesh and experienced everything we experienced without sin. Now marriage is the most important union that God commanded Adam and Eve and that command was revered and followed to be fruitful and multiply. There would be no disgrace if Yeshua had also wed while here on earth.

The possibility of a lineage is indeed one of mystery and intrigue. It is what Tall Tales of The Knights of the Round Table are Weaved from… does it tell a story? Or does it direct us to another truth, one we haven’t connected? I am not seeking a fantasy here nor doing all of this searching to fabricate nonsense…but one thing I know… The Queen of the Tribe of Benjamin Mary Magdalene…was robbed of her honor and hidden away from sight. The day shall come and her honor shall be glory to the Lord. Amen.
