Translating the Word of God, what could possibly go wrong? Nothing, if it is done correctly. Everything if words are deceptively or foolishly chosen.
So what did Jesus say to the disciples before he ascended? We know he spoke Aramaic, and we know the main language of the Jews was Hebrew. It would not make sense for Jesus to speak any other language to them. It would be like me writing this blog to you in Greek or Latin, or calling you up on the phone and speaking in some unknown language- that would not make any sound sense at all. The Temple laws frowned on using any language other than Hebrew. So, that makes it even more backward to think Jesus or his Disciples would have spoken to the Jews in any other language at all. Remember, Jesus came to the Jews first to teach them and gather them. He had many followers of the way, and they were referred to as Jews of which the term came to lump all the other sons of Jacob or as they are known of as the 12 tribes, into one category by others. The fact is they all resided in the region known as Judea of which at that time…Herod was King over.
Abraham and Sarah were Hebrews. The term comes from ivrim, which comes from a root word meaning to travel across or pass through. Their son, Isaac had Jacob who wrestled with the Angel of the Lord and demanded a blessing, he was given the Hebrew name Yisra’el (Israel), meaning God contends, or one who struggles with God. His twelve sons were the first Israelites, each sons families were known as tribes, the twelve tribes of Israel. Judah was one of the sons, called of the Tribe of Judah. King David was of the Tribe of Judah, and it was his son Solomon who built the Temple of the Lord God. In the time of his grandson the Kingdom of Israel was divided, ten tribes seceded and formed the northern kingdom called Israel, the Southern Kingdom was called Judah.
The Babylonians conquered the northern kingdom Israel and carried them off to Babylon. Fast forward and King Cyrus freed the people to return to Jerusalem (Northern Kingdom) and rebuild the city and the Temple. Later, after the Maccabean wars, the war with Macedonia, and lastly being conquered by Rome, the land was named by the Romans as Judea, a word for Judah and “Jews” was derived from being from Judea. Including those of the tribe of Judah. Today, all the tribes have been lumped into one name by society or politics, namely calling all the tribes, the Jews.
So as history is launched, written, rewritten, skewed a bit and lost, today in Israel, the Arabic language, along with Hebrew, has special status under Israeli law. Today, Hebrew is the official language used in government, commerce, court sessions, schools, and universities. It is the language most commonly used in everyday life in Israel. Native Hebrew speakers comprise about 53% of the population. The vast majority of the rest speak Hebrew fluently as a second language. Also there are various spoken dialects used, and Arabic is the native language among Israeli-Arabs.
That being said, the Torah is not written in Greek and it is preserved in the language it was written in, as are all the words of the prophets which most were written in Hebrew, and a few written in Aramaic.
Here are a few translations of the words used in the Hebrew Scriptures of the prophets.
We will start with the Hebrew word Ruach ha’Kodesh.
Ruach means spirit or wind or breathe. Kodesh means set apart. ha is a prefix used at the beginning of a word to set it apart…similar to how the English language uses the pronoun “the”. The word would be translated “Female Spirit breath and wind (Ruach)”, lo, behold {ha}- set apart {Kodesh}.
Ruach ha’Kodesh means the set apart spirit.
- Ruach ha’Kodesh in Hebrew was the original word used in the Word of God to identify the Spirit of Truth. The Hebrew word Ruach ha’Kodesh means feminine in form.
- In Aramaic the word “spirit” is a feminine noun as it is in Hebrew .
- The Hebrew word Ruach ha’Kodesh was later translated In Greek to the word Pneuma which means to neuter or no gender.
- Later Ruach ha’Kodesh was translated in Latin, by Romans as Sanctus Spiritus which means masculine in form.
- It was translated in English as Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit and referred to as masculine.

“Female Spirit breath and wind (Ruach)”, behold {ha}- set apart {Kodesh}.
Together the words Ruach HaKodesh are a powerful combination….it means a female spirit breath of wind to behold, set apart. And even more indepth.
It is a powerful spirit of life now within you. Set apart for you to use to serve God the Father and the Son with Wisdom of the Female Spirit of all living. That is Ruach Ha’Kodesh!

Tetragrammaton
What is Tetragrammaton?
Definition: the four Hebrew letters usually transliterated YHWH or JHVH that form a biblical proper name of God.
“HEY, VAV, HEY YOD” – This is the Tetragrammaton, the traditional Jewish personal name of God.
When introduced in the Torah, it is done so within the Mosaic narrative, where the name (four letters) are associated with the interpretation, “[Tell them] I am that I am [sent you].” This is why God is often referred to as the Great I Am.
The Hebrew language in its written form is largely vowel-less. Aleph ranks as the exception. In other words, you only know which vowels to place between the consonants if you actually speak (spoke) the language. So written Hebrew was a sort of shorthand or convenience. Not until much later were diacritical marks added (by the Masorites), so that vowel sounds could now be read into the text. But mind you, that was a thousand years after the texts had been written, and in some cases maybe even twice that or more. We’re silly to pretend we know how things were said. What we do know, of these four letters—-yes, technically three—is that they were not and are not voiced. Think of the y in yes, the h in hello, and the w in win. These are distinct sounds, even when we try to say them all by themselves. But they’re not mechanical. They’re just “shapes with air going through them.”
SOME WORDS WERE LEFT UNTRANSLATED AND SOME MISTRANSLATED. WHY? IS IT BECAUSE THE TRANSLATORS DID NOT KNOW HOW TO TRANSLATE THEM CORRECTLY? WHO KNOWS?
HEBREW WORDS THAT HAVE BEEN TRANSLATED CORRECTLY–
Isaiah 11:2 literally reads, there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse and a branch shall grow out of his roots and the spirit of Yahuveh, she shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of councel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yahuveh.
The Hebrew word ruach; (“wind; spirit”) is one of the few words that is sometimes used as masculine (Eccl. 1:6; 1 Kings 19:11), but is mostly used as feminine, and in the Hebrew targumim, the “Shekhina”, which is the equivalent of the Holy Spirit, is also feminine.
Even in Aramaic, the Holy Spirit tanslates the same as in Hebrew.
Throughout the Bible, the Holy Spirit has always been female. She is the Comforter and teacher so often referred to. I didn’t come up with this theory. It is a basic from the Hebrew language and from Old Testament scriptures. The Holy Spirit or ‘Rauch’, was feminine in all of Solomon’s writings as the ‘Divine Presence’ was female, in Proverbs and his other writings.
Proverbs 9: 1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars: 2 She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table. 3 She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city, 4 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, 5 Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. :6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
For she continually directs her people to the Lord and the Saviour and asks them to forsake the foolish. She is the Comforter, that whispers in our consciences, and tries to teach us the lessons of life. Even though the patriarchial church fathers decided to change ‘she’ into a ‘he’ to align to their patriarchial dominance and subjugation of their women. Note: I am not a feminist, I am honoring the Holy Spirit and am seeking truth, and all truth.
May we discover all truths, and let the Lord guide us as our shepherd as he has said he would do. Amen.

Interesting post Dianne. I loved the video, but not the title. There are to my knowledge 248 MANIFESTATIONS of God. But only 1 NAME. The name in which all power in Heaven and earth is given unto. His name is Jesus Christ.
I guess easily explained with our own, manifestations and names. We are all son’s and daughters, possibly brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, cousins, granddaughters and grandsons, great grandsons and great granddaughters and so on, not to negate all the rolls in which we fill in the lives of those around us. And even though we may be called something different by them, our names never change. We all have that name on our birth certificates. In which all power in Heaven and earth is given unto.
Of course without being a scholar of the Bible, and it’s origins, this is what is found in what we know as the KJV. I am very interested in reading the Aramaic translation after having seen this. But if you read the KJV, the “Holy Spirit,” is used in the old testament to refer to a manifestation of God, whom is not a person, but a thing that we serve. In the new testament is where the “Holy Ghost,” is used, in order to refer to the one who comes after the Man, Jesus is crucified. Which makes sense, considering we understand that it is the ghost of Jesus who comes as the comforter.
I look forward to delving into this some more with this new understanding, but we also cannot let anyone steal our revelations given to us by the Holy Ghost, which is our teacher.

Thank you, Dianne, for this most appreciative post. I read it a few days ago, just love it so. I search out words and info myself–and know it takes time. So I thank you for helping me in my quest to know Father, The Holy Spirit in us, and Messiah–all of Whom I delight in, honor, and serve in Spirit. When I’m spoken to by them, I never can tell any sex of the Speaker. But last week during my celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles, unneeded trouble tried to land on me; and The Holy Spirit got in on it as it was happening and said, You can’t ride in the limited space of a car with two vaxxed people; the one you were trying to help is hurting you. Don’t go. I smiled at the trouble and told the one I meant to help (before a jezebel influenced him and decided she’d come along on a trip to his doctor. This same jezebel also got him to go with her for bioweapon poison kill shots at Walmart. Now this is a man, a relative, who for three decades or so gets all his treatment at the VA). . . . The Holy Spirit had all this info and Guides me what to do, no anger, no emotion. And I heard what all of what The Holy Spirit told me; so I said to my relative: No, you go on without me. . . . The voice of The Holy Spirit was clearly feminine this time. Also, as you note in your article, I am not feminist. And I obey Father. And no way could I get in that car! I think my relative was amazed at how I handled whatever it is they intended.
I think it is very evident that God was not concerned about the languages of Rome.On the Day of Pentecost ,each person heard in their own language what was being spoken.It is evident that God was able to not only give utterance ,but to pen in whatever language He preferred through His Holy Spirit.The Living,the Written,and the Spoken Word of God all lead us back to God.Therefore He is the Authority of His Word and does not need man to interject himself into His narrative.All scripture is Divinely inspired and if He can use a talking donkey to get His message across,using a fisherman to write His Words should be much easier.
I’m jumping on comment section prior to reading the blog, I only scanned it so far… Just wanted to share ahead of reading it, the following… I have an intimate relationship of long standing with the Holy Spirit. So far, we’ve never talked about gender identity. If the time comes when the Holy Spirit wants me to have this dialogue, this understanding, then I’m all ears and my heart’s open. I’ll see how it goes after reading this.
There are always going to be times in our walk with the Lord and the Holy Spirit when we meet others who have knowledge and wisdom that differs from ours. Each of our relationships with God’s Spirit is intimately unique, personal and created for us individually. My connection with the Spirit is deeply personal, unlike anyone elses, just as yours is to you. So the insight being shared here about the Spirit as a she is an offer for each of us to take it to the Holy Spirit and talk it out with him. Yes, I chose the pronoun him, which is a reflection of my intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit thus far.

Thank you ,I have understood this in my Spirit for a long time,but would not talk about it because people are not always kind ,to something that they don’t know or understand.In my youth,I once spoke about Peter,that he was not walking on the water,but was walking on the Word ,Jesus spoke.He said come.When he took his eyes off Jesus he began to sink.Had he been walking on the water ,he would have immediately sank.But he didn’t,he sank slowly.Showing us that he was on God’s Word.For as his Faith began to wain he began to sink.Looking with the eyes of the flesh gave the appearance of walking on water.Because this is all that could be seen.But in the Spirit he was on God’s Word.The anger of the people when I said that about Peter ,was a crucify moment.That is why I appreciate you for your bravery.Thank you

Thank you so much for being Obedient to the Lord… this allows us to see the Spirit of the Lord as a mother figure, feminine, comforter, to know her like she was and is to be known from the beginning, crying out in the streets to her children…LISTEN TO ME… like us mothers who love our children do… It also sheds light on HER counterfeit … jezebel. who has so blinded many children with deception… SO with this… the more fully we understand and have knowledge of this long awaited revelation the more fully we can welcome the Spirit of God into our lives, our homes and our churches as our mother who was there from the beginning of creation and hand over to ole jezi.. her eviction notice. ! those who have ears to hear let them HEAR… those who have EYES to see let them see… what a beautiful day !
I know I am preaching to the choir and will offend many but, I believe God, I AM made Man in his image and then he took a rib from the man to make his mate, the woman, the one men can’t live with and can’t live without. He made both so they could commune with them. I believe that is all the genders he built. As far as the word tells us. No offense.

Thankyou Glenda. It is just the historical facts of how things evolved into what we have now come to believe because we were told it and it was written that way. One day when talking to members of another denomination, they were quibbling over interpretations of what scriptures said, of this and of that…and to me it was way out of context, it came through my mouth…”Jesus never spoke like Shakesphear.” Ever since then…I started to dig to see what he did speak like and I found the world of Lexicons…and had always thought the Greek Lexicon was the best way to see what was really said, until not to long ago when I found there wasn’t a Greek writing available until around 400ad. So….that took me down the path of logic and common sense. The gentile nations that Paul went to first in Antioch, which is northern tip of Syria on the border of Turkey, they used the Aramaic language not Greek…so even in that, it made sense to approach the gentiles in their language. Paul could also speak Greek and did to the guards when he was arrested, but then spoke to the people in Hebrew, so it says in Acts of that account. And then it was historic on top of it all, Aramaic was the second language of most all Jews and Hebrew was the only language allowed in the Temple. The laws of the Temple frowned on using any other language than Hebrew. It’s just the facts.
There are those who have stated that they have met Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit was definitely male. I don’t know who’s right, but I never felt comfortable with talk of the divine feminine. It sounds very New Age. Each to their own.

Divine Knowledge and Understanding leading to Divine Wisdom – just as Jesus promised He would not leave us without a Comforter.
It doesn’t matter one bit which language Jesus spoke.
What matters is which language the original New Testament was written in.
It was not written in Hebrew.
The language of the Temple might have been Hebrew, but the language of commerce in Roman Jerusalem was not.
You need to start from the perspective of those who wrote the books, not the perspective of some modern professor trying to impress you.
Even the educated were not bilingual. And I doubt the fishermen and lower classes Jesus called were even passably fluent in more than one language.
They might have understood Hebrew through rote memorization, but it is unlikely they were fluent or could write it.
Don’t project your modern experience onto the last.
The oldest known copy of the Bible (complete Bible) in the world is the Codex Sinaiticus, dating from the 3rd or 4th century A.D. The Codex, while not only translating Hebrew and Greek manuscripts into all Greek, documents the dramatic shift of preserving texts in a bound book form rather than the tradition of writing on scrolls. That is just historic fact.
