When i was very young 18 yrs old?
I was hauling corn from my farm to a port side grain elevator and the long shore men went on strike
they protested and had a picket line and the second day of me crossing this line
they jump up on my truck and got in my face and damaged the truck
I went home and made one phone call
the next Day when i went to this shipping terminal they stopped me again and i told them to get off my truck
and when i got into the terminals office i had them make a phone call to my contact person
after the strike leader had a conversation with this person he was wet in the pants
the message told to him was that if they ever so much as touched Me or my truck
That the US Marshall’s would be dispatched to this Grain terminal

When the Teamsters (truckers) picketed back in the late 60’s (I think that’s right date), I imagine it would have been the shipping yard workers and anyone who crossed that picket line whose panties got soaked. 😱 Your experience was a good outcome, and I’m glad it turned out well for you. It’s crazy how things have changed, including attitudes. For example, just the mention of US Marshalls, and my radar goes up with this question..”Are they the good guys or bad guys?” Stay safe out there, y’all. 🙏💜🙂
