Is censorship a modern day tactic or is it ancient? Hiding truth by forbidding someone to read something, say something, or write something sure isn’t new. It is ancient!
Many times when people debate over translations of what Bible to read… there are always those who say “all translations are blessed”, and the Scriptures have been retranslated to make the words more clearly understood for different people. This effort has resulted in over 900 English translations and paraphrases of the Bible. But when it comes to what books can be read… now there goes the “blessing” right down the drain. And we won’t even talk about interpretations. History, real history has a shameful track record of men censoring what can be read, spoken, written and interpreted when it comes to the Word of God, and to go against it meant, arrests, tortures, deaths, and massive burnings of what was considered blashphemy. The Foxe Book of Martres is filled with this type of documented information.
That being said, I have always chosen to read and quote (when writing) the King James Version, as that is what had been considered to be the authorized Bible to read before the rush to have so many translations of English into English. And even in that… I have many times said, Jesus did not talk like Shakespeare. The language he spoke was Aramaic which was the language most spoken at the time. Which both Aramaic and Hebrew were considered semetic languages of that time.

That being said, when the Bible was translated from Aramaic into English, I began to read the translations and noticed there were many differences. The same as when one is reading the Greek Septuagint there are big differences there. Many words, sentences, and some entire paragraphs have been omitted in the translation and not found in the King James Bible. And even some entire Old Testament books. There are many words in the Septuagint that are more defining and revealing of the truth within the scriptures. You will learn a lot of things you were not told.
The same as in the Septuagint, the Aramaic Peshitta Bible has many words that were omitted and or translated in a manner that changed the origininal meaning, however subtle.
Below is the book of Hebrews Chapter one in both the King James Version (KJV), and the Aramaic translation into English called the “Peshitta”.
You will see some interesting differences.
Hebrews 1 KJV 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, (Peshitta Hebrews 1 From the first, in all parts and in all forms, God spoke with our fathers by The Prophets,)
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (Peshitta 2 And in these last days he has spoken with us by his Son, whom he ordained The Heir of all things, and by him he made the universe.)
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: (Peshitta 3 For he is The Brilliance of his glory, The Image of his Being, and upholds all things by the power of his word; and he in his Essential Being has accomplished the purification of our sins, and he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.)
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. (Peshitta. 4 And This One is altogether greater than the Angels, according to how much more excellent than theirs is The Name which he possesses.)
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? (Peshitta 5 For to which one of the Angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you”, and again, “I shall be to him The Father and he shall be to me the Son” ?)
6 And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. (Peshitta 6 Again, when he brings The Firstborn into the universe, he says, “All the Angels of God shall worship him.”)
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. (Peshitta 7 But he spoke in this way about the Angels: “He makes his Angels the wind and his Ministers the burning fire.”)
I found the Aramaic Peshitta included words that gave a deeper understanding to the meaning of the scriptures. At least it did so for me. It led me to ask questions and identify more clearly some of the things I wondered about, like God’s Angels being wind and Ministers the burning fire. Below are some of my questions and scripture based findings.
What are the ministers of the burning fire? These are God’s Holy Cherubem, the same that are placed upon the arc of the covenant. Satan was once the anointed cherub who covers until he unrighteousness was found in him.
“You were the anointed cherub who covers, and I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; you walked in the midst of the stones of fire. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you. By the abundance of your trade you were internally filled with violence, and you sinned; therefore I have cast you as profane from the mountain of God. And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub from the midst of the stones of fire” (Ezek. 28: 14-16).
These are the same firey Cherubim The ‘stones of fire’ that likely refer to the other cherubim God had created. It is written that God left Cherubim as a flaming fire to prevent entrance into the Garden of Eden.
So He drove the man out; and at the east of the Garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life. (Genesis 3: 24).
Here are some other scriptures that clarify God’s Cherubim …
“The Lord reigns, let the peoples tremble; He is enthroned above the cherubim, let the earth shake!” (Psalm 99: 1).
“He makes the winds His messengers, Flaming fire His ministers” (Psalm 104: 4.
“and He rode on a cherub and flew; and He appeared on the wings of the wind” (2Sam. 22: 11).
The scriptures portray that God rides on and above the cherubim having his very throne resting upon them. The cherubim are God’s angelic ‘ministers of fire’ and ‘messengers of the winds.’ They defensively protect God and and guard the heavenly realm and he sends them out as he pleases.
The Apostle John described the “four living creatures” almost identical to Ezekiel’s description of them in the four living creatures. The only difference between the visions is John wrote that each creature had six wings, while Ezekiel’s described them as having four. The wings are portrayed “full of eyes around and within,” suggesting that they are all knowing. (Not the UFO analogy used by those pushing the alien agenda.) Each creature has four faces: a lion (symbolizing power and strength) a calf (portraying humble service rendered to God), a man (depicting a rational being), and an eagle (suggesting services swiftly executed). The visions of the prophets were most always given in messages through symbols. Like the statue in King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.
““You shall make two cherubim of gold, make them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub at one end and one cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends. The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat. You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you. There I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel” (Exodus 25: 18-22).
The cherubim and the mercy seat were made as one piece. It suggests the very close relationship of the Mercy Seat with God and also with His cherubim. In other verses, this entire piece was overlaid with hammered gold. The Cherubim guard the things most important to God—His holiness and His mercy.
Back to Hebrews Chapter 1… Hebrews 1:8
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. (Peshitta 8 But concerning The Son, he said, “Your throne, oh God, is to the eternity of eternities. A straight scepter is the scepter of your Kingdom.”)
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. (Peshitta 9 “You have loved righteousness and you have hated evil; because of this, God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of a joy beyond your companions.”)
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: (Peshitta 10 And again, “You have laid the foundation of The Earth from the beginning and the Heavens are the work of your hands.”)
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; (Peshitta 11 “Those shall pass away and you remain, and they all shall wear out like a robe,”)
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. (Peshitta 12 “And you shall fold them up like a cloak; they shall be changed, and you are as you are; your years shall not end.”)
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? (Peshitta 13 But to which of the Angels did he ever say, “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies as a footstool under your feet?”)
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? (Peshitta 14 Behold, are they not all spirits of service, who are sent into service for the sake of those who are going to inherit life?)
Aramaic Peshitta Revelations 2:18-29
18“And to The Messenger who is in the assembly in Thawatyra: ‘Thus says The Son of God, he who has eyes like flames of fire and his feet like the brass of Lebanon.”
19“I know your works, your love, your faith, your service and your patience, and your latter works are more than the first.” 20“I have much against you, because you are tolerating your wife Jezebel who says about herself that she is a Prophetess, and teaches and seduces my Servants to commit fornication and to eat the sacrifices of idols.” 21“And I gave her time for repentance, and she did not choose to turn from her fornication.”
22“Behold, I shall cast her into a coffin, and those who commit adultery with her into great suffering, unless they repent of their deeds.” 23“And I shall kill her children by Death, and all the assemblies will know that I search the kidneys and the hearts, and I shall give to everyone of you according to your works.”
24“I say to you and to the rest who are in Thawatyra, all of those who do not have this doctrine, those who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say: I shall not lay upon you any other burden.” 25“That which you have, therefore, hold fast until I come.” 26“To him who is victorious and keeps my works, I shall give authority over the nations,”
27“To Shepherd them with a rod of iron, and like the vessels of a potter you shall shatter them, for in the same manner I have also received of my Father.” (Daniel statue?) 28“And I shall give him the Star of the Morning.” 29“He who has an ear, let him hear what The Spirit is saying to the assemblies.”

Dianne – I would like for you to do a “deep dive” on the word Ekkelesia – God’s legislative body in the earth and see what you come up with. The word church has been misinterpreted today – as to what God’s intensions are for the church to be in the earth.
I will do that. What I do know is the Greek word Ekkelesia was the word chosen in English translation as “church”. The Greek word ekklesia, meant, “those called out”. ek meaning “out from and to” and kaleo meaning “to call”. Another word used for those called out is assembly. It was never about a building. It was about a calling out and following the way of the Lord.
Interesting.
