It appears this is all a part of the green technology and South Korea wants to have three cities built by this year that uses the hydrogen as the fuel for cooling, heating, electricity and transportation. They announced their plans in 2019 but some issues are still a concern, such as hydrogen’s explosive nature, which is still causing safety concerns because things keep blowing up. One such explosion of a hydrogen storage tank in 2019 happened at one of South Korea’s government research projects, killing two people and injuring six others in the rural city of Gangneung. It destroyed a complex about half the size of a soccer field. A preliminary investigation found the blast was caused by a spark after oxygen found its way into the tank.
One month later, there was an explosion at a hydrogen refueling station in Norway. And in September of 2019, a hydrogen gas leak and fire at a South Korean chemical plant caused three workers to suffer burns.
Such safety concerns have fueled protests by South Korean resident groups worried about hydrogen facilities being built in their areas. At that time, Kim Jong-ho, began a month-long hunger strike against a planned fuel cell power plant in the port city of Incheon two days before the blast, and said the explosion refocused the attention from pollution risks of hydrogen production to safety. In short, these hydrogen cars are a disaster! Not profitable and not real safe, besides taking to long to refuel. Most people don’t have 20 plus minutes to fill their tanks. So now they are raising 500 billion won or US 383 million, to support their hydrogen idea via investments from domestic member companies and foreign investors and is expected to be liquidated after 10 years of operation. Storage of the gas requires a lot of infrastructure, and despite government incentives to support development, until hydrogen becomes more widespread private investors can still struggle to turn a profit.
After the explosion and then another one “All hydrogen stations will have no choice but to shut down unless the government subsidizes operating costs,” Sung, 32, told Reuters. “Otherwise, this place will just become a 3 billion won chunk of steel.”

So now we know why Paul is concerned about his Hydrogen investments and went with his mommy on her Asian tour, especially South Korea where he took his mask off.

- He was vice president of a company previously embroiled in an investigation of scam calls that targeted senior citizens.

- A medical company Pelosi Jr. worked for tested drugs on people without FDA authorization, according to an FDA investigation.
While fully electric vehicles drive emissions-free, the production of batteries has been criticized for its carbon footprint. Mining lithium from rocks is energy intensive, and extracting it from dried lake beds, as is often done in South America, drains local water reserves. Does this have anything to do with Lake Mead? The process to extract and mine lithium are responsible for 90% of biodiversity loss and more than half of carbon emissions. One report estimates that the mining sector produces 100bn tons of waste every year.
Extraction and processing are typically water- and energy-intensive, and contaminate waterways and soil. Alongside these dramatic changes to the natural environment, mining is linked to human rights abuses, respiratory ailments, dispossession of indigenous territory and labour exploitation. Once the minerals are wrested from the ground, mining companies tend to accumulate profits and leave behind poverty and contamination. These profits only multiply along the vast supply chains that produce electric vehicles and solar panels. Access to these technologies is highly unequal, and the communities who suffer the harms of extraction are frequently denied its benefits.
So there you have it. China, (Including Taiwan as the one party rule) Congo, as China developed it and have deals, South Korea, and Japan, control the Lithium for the electric car future. “The United States has extensive lithium reserves but produces less than 2% of the world’s annual supply, much of it from a single large-scale mine, Silver Peak, in Nevada. Most of the world’s lithium extraction occurs in a handful of operations in Australia, Argentina, Chile and China, “BINGO” which also dominates the processing and battery construction industry, with other countries in Asia.

The article also had a familiar verse from God’s Word ringing in my head as I read it — “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” — (1 Timothy 6:10)
It is frustrating to watch all of this, but I understand now that it had to be this way.
