    1. Hi Duchess! Do you suppose the word “temptation” in this verse has broader meaning beyond what we ordinarily think of it to mean? I’m just digging for deeper meaning, and I know it refers to sin temptations. But in addition to sin, could it also mean temptation to not stand against the persecution we may soon be facing? The Lord’s promise of a crown of life makes it all worth enduring. I appreciate any thoughts you might have. Thank you!

      1. Temptation IS a broad term – covers a multitude of sins – I think – some of commission and some of omission – we can be tempted to ‘ignore’ the needs of our neighbor – one example – we can be tempted to be quiet when we should speak up – we can be tempted to be selfish and not give to a good cause – we can be tempted to stay up late – when we should be sleeping – you get the idea – there are numerous circumstances where we can be tempted to our own detriment and/or to the detriment of others.

We are human, Deb – only God is perfect – and we get into trouble – sometimes through no fault of our own – other times we should have known better.

The Crown of Life is God’s reward – for some of us might be impossible – for others would be attainable – only God knows who among us deserve that crown. In America, we might experience persecution to a certain degree – in other countries – it is far worse.

I listened to a speech given by the Canadian Pastor, Pulaski. He was offered asylum here in America – a home, a church, and safety. He refused. Why? Because he must fight the evil perpetrated against him to set an example for others – so he will return. I am sure that was a ‘tempting’ offer considering what he has suffered to date and might face in the future – 6 years in prison.

I hope some of what I have provided here helps you discern this term ‘temptation’ – God Bless Your Research.

        1. Oh bless you, Duchess. My spiritual eyes are seeing a much broader understanding now. Your explanation and examples are just what I needed. Sometimes it’s difficult to beak out of a familiar way of thinking about things. And I knew I was limiting my view but was struggling to break out of it. You helped tremendously.. Thanks so much. 💖🙏🤗

          1. Ok you guys, I’m confused now. The green car and temptation? I know it’s a meme…but what is wrong with a new car for transportation? Is it practical or are we supposed to settle for a transportation that is broken down and not get us where we are going? Or…is the car a blessing in the meme, to receive with thanksgiving? That meme…truly is one that can go either way. We are not meant to go through this life with beatings and no reprieve, we all have enough of those…and we aren’t made to war constantly….nor sit on our hind ends either. I do see the temptation examples and need to heed things.

I guess, I don’t like that meme. It plays the devils advocate… for critical thinking…it gives lots of room to ponder it…but, as a meme to inspire – it sucks. Because it toys with the mind…and gives the illussion…that “you can have it deary….go ahead…you decide if it’s a blessing or a temptation?” I can hear the devil whispering it. It’s the way he argues his case… I hate the way the devil does that. So….money is not evil…it is when you put that ahead of God and others that it is evil….people need to have power and influence who are good in order to help others. Greed is not always judged by how much you have, more than it is what you do with it…and how you loosen it up to help others. You can be poor and be selfish and greedy. There are a lot of people selfish and greedy who don’t have money…and those who do. So….that being said….

I love new cars – and appreciate car shows. smile. But, today, I don’t have a new car. But I still like them. If it were a hundred years or so ago, I would like a nice riding horse. But, I might ride a old tired horse. But, I would still appreciate fine horses. I like new socks too. I like my favorite foods. It’s okay to like things. I share….but, no one cares about wearing my socks…unless they have none…then I will give them many pairs. Smile.

I’m hungry now. I will go eat. Smile.

            1. Every day, I post my daily prayer on (3) blogs:

Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered!!!

This ‘Daily Blessing’ asks us to ‘Enjoy the blessings God gives you each day!’

It also reminds us of the ‘great blessing’ we receive when we are able to resist temptation – now what does that have to do with blessings?

A ‘new’ car is a blessing if your car is worn out and no longer works – but, a ‘new car’ may not be ‘new’ – it may be ‘used’ and just ‘new’ to you.

My car was 18 years old – with low mileage – and I kept it in good working order – it was a good car – exactly what I needed – but – God said – ‘Give it to your neighbor whose car is worn out and will soon be unusable’ – why should I care about my neighbor? Because God told us to love our neighbor as Jesus loved us. I did not have money for a new car – and if I got a used car – it would not be as good as the one I had – however – where there is no way – God will make a way – and so He did.

If I have two coats – I can only wear one at a time – and yet – there is someone who has NO coat – to shelter her in the cold – I am tempted to keep them both for myself – but, there is someone in need – and Jesus said to love one another – so I obey God and give one of my coats away.

We can look at this car as a temptation to upgrade when we cannot afford a new one – and then – put ourselves in a financial pickle for many years to come – OR – we can resist the temptation and wait on the Lord – if we need a car – God will provide – we just need to have faith and trust in Him.

God made a way for me to buy a new car so that He could not only bless my neighbor through me – but, bless me also. But, the best part of this story is – neither of us could afford a ‘new’ or ‘used’ car without God’s blessing!

              1. Indeed. Now it makes sense how you explain it. The meme…is still one of pondering. LOL. The Lord simply wired me with the Spirit Holy to love to give and help. Also, when to back off and not be taken advantage of. The easiest thing to do is to justify being selfish with things, so there must be prayer and listening to the Spirit and the Lord on what is what. On the other side of that, I am driving an older vehicle because of it having just rolled over to 60K miles and it still runs like new.

  1. Is this a link to yesterday’s hearings that involved an over 3 hour hearing (that I watched most of) — or is the Senate doing their audit that Judge Fann said they would do, today (Saturday)? I’m just making sure I’m telling others correctly and I haven’t seen this live on RSBN when on their site – -thank you!

    1. That one was from yesterday at 1 pm. The full audit. I should have clarified it better. It was live and the final audit but the audit was yesterday. The media is desperately trying to make it look like Biden won and nothing bad was found. Their heads are going to roll, the evidence is enormous and it looks like an investigation is to be called. I fixed it to be more clear.
