At a recent event to support entrepreneurs in Southwest Florida, Lou Ferrigno (The Hulk) gave praises to a new anti-gravity bungee fitness exercise concept developed by Patty Cummings of Cape Coral, Florida. Lou first tried the funny looking concept in 2018 and was in awe of its’ results. Sometimes the simple things are what have the largest impact.

G-Force Bungee Training

For more intense workouts, Cummings developed the “G-FORCE” resistance training, performed with many of the movements that involve free fall, naturally allow gentle g-forces to be felt that rev the cardio in seconds. These g-forces create vibrations that allow the blood and lymph to start moving rapidly throughout the body,  getting much needed oxygen in and out of every cell and to the brain.

“This fitness training causes the accelerating person to experience a force acting in the opposite direction to the acceleration.”  Patty explained, “One client may say, when the bungee pulled me down and back up fast, I experienced a rush I’ve never felt before.  That’s the G-Force vibration in action!”

BASIC SCIENCE BEHIND G-FORCE TRAIING:

Despite the name, G-Force is not a fundamental force that can be measured with an accelerometer.  In the case described as a result of use in Astro-Durance Bungee Systems, the g-force accelerations indirectly produce weight, therefore, any g-force can be described as a “weight per unit mass”.  When the g-force acceleration is produced by the surface of one object being pushed by the surface of another object, the reaction force to this push produces an equal and opposite weight for every unit of an object’s acceleration in relation to free fall.  The types of forces involved are what revs the cardio in seconds and cause the rapid increase in blood and lymphatic flow.

As it applies in objects, g-forces are transmitted through objects by interior mechanical stresses.  In AD bungee training, the bungee supported person is the object that receives gentle g-force pressures when in free fall or other fast movements. Generally, the user is in control of how fast they dive or jump therefore, the free fall affect can be controlled by the user. The user also has the ability to stop performing the action at any time, thereby they maintain control.  The user also has the safety of the bungee attached to the harness so, if for some reason they do lose control, they are protected from hitting the floor by the bungee which will keep them in tact.  The result is a revved up blood and lymphatic flow that continues its’ natural cycle. Lou Ferrigno, nick named “THE HULK”, is an American actor, fitness trainer, fitness consultant, sheriff of L.A. and retired professional bodybuilder. As a bodybuilder, Ferrigno won an IFBB Mr. America title and two consecutive IFBB Mr. Universe titles, and appeared in the bodybuilding documentary Pumping Iron. As an actor, he is best known for his title role in the CBS television series The Incredible Hulk and vocally reprising the role in subsequent animated and computer-generated incarnations. He has also appeared in European-produced fantasy-adventures such as Sinbad of the Seven Seas and Hercules, and as himself in the sitcom The King of Queens and the 2009 comedy I Love You, Man.  Over the years he has dawned the covers of coveted Icon Body Building and Muscle Magazines.
