  1. Remember when Bed Bath & Beyond banned “My Pillow”? Well lots and lots of people, including me, wouldn’t set foot in their store after that. What happened to them? Closed!

  2. Hi Dianne,

This article is suffering from an incorrect Previous Link.

    Happy New Year!

  3. D.E.I. = Didn’t Earn It!
All part of the plan to cripple this country. It puts unqualified people in jobs and degrades the ones who were skipped over for the job. It also creates a toxic work environment because the good employees are forced to carry the dead weight of the Didn’t Earn It’s. The good employees eventually get fed up and move on which is exactly what the corporate heads want because the good ones have been there the longest and in most cases are the highest paid.
So they leave and are replaced by someone that the company pays 5 or 6 dollars less than the good experienced employee was getting paid. It’s a rigged system against good workers.
The place I left after nearly 24 years is a poster company for this. However, they have worked their way into a mess by having more Didn’t Earn It’s than the rest of the employees can and are willing to carry and it is starting to cost them Big money 💰 😀. So now as their talent pool is severely depleted they are offering part time jobs to retirees with benefits. So far few are taking the carrot on the string. They asked me if there was anyone in management that I would talk to that could change my mind. I told them no but even if there was someone they didn’t have enough money anyway. Sometimes you just have to draw the line. 🙂

    1. Spot On JP…!!

I remember back in the early 90’s or late 80’s, while up at the sawmill, they were offering early retirement with a bonus to all the old timer’s. Every last one of them told them to stick it where the sun don’t shine. Then, in 2005, I was terminated for speaking my mind at Home Depot. I worked the graveyard shift (my favorite), and had to clean-up after the swing shifter’s made their mess and forgot LOL to clean it up. I was called an insubordinate trouble-maker. That’s when I left the playing field and started working for myself. They thought of me as just another number.

When the rich rob from the poor, it’s called business…
When the poor fight back, it’s called violence.

      1. My favorite author, Henry, is Mark Twain aka Samuel Clemens. He traveled the world and saw firsthand what was happening. Love his books and his truisms, especially this one…’If voting was important they wouldn’t let us do it.’ Visited Hannibal, MO five years ago…fascinating to learn of Mark Twain’s early years and rise to successful author. History can teach us many things, as can research and learning. Sure do wish the younger generations were taught how to REALLY do that, instead of the knee-jerk 120-240 character fact checks that have become the norm these days. Critical thinking should be a part of school curriculums…and parental responsibility. Watching, waiting and praying to see what God has in store for us in 2025.

    2. Thanks JP. Now I understand the “early retirement game” the 20 years and out thingy that started way back in the 70’s or 80’s? Where then they offered to rehire them a month or two later to fill in. It appears to have been a pathway. Now I’m getting the purpose of all that. (Workman’s compensation and grievances, complaints, unfair labor practices, unions, etc.) All controlled by the same system when you follow it up to the tippy top. At the top it’s a different ballgame.

      1. The president of our branch had a lady that called all the shots for him and she ruled with an iron fist. We will call her Joanne.
One of our sister plants was having trouble getting quality workers just like we were because they were not willing to pay what other factories in our areas were paying for new hires. I am good friends with our sister company’s plant manager. One day when he was at our plant we were discussing this and I told him all we are able to hire are the leftover employees who are not interested in working and can’t hold a job and that all other good workers are locked in making decent wages somewhere else.
He told me that he had the very same conversation with Joanne and her response was that #t######st Corporation had made a really good living on leftover workers. As long as they have two or three employees who know what they are doing they don’t care about the rest of them.
The good ones left to carry the dead wood!

      2. We seen it first hand, hubby was a union worker and knew and could see all the shenanigans they were up too and did! Passing votes that a person could See were No Votes, taking hard earned raises over a lifetime which didn’t amount to much because they skimmed the top off before they gave you your 10 cents of the $3 raise then after 30 yrs of work they took the total of the 10cents times thirty yrs and said they would pay you back but never did! Had big shots laugh and told him he was going to get screwed 5 months before his retirement and then he had to work another 4 yrs. all so he could teach a non union worker to do his job and then the boss lady yelled and cussed at him for having the nerve to retire finally! We watched government take, big business companies take because that is what they do and we learnt to not trust any of them! We told people and they seen it happen but put their heads down and went along with their blinders on the blinders got darker and darker and it is only by the Grace of God people are waking up every second! Smile
Dianne your articles help so very much, you can get the word out there and every little dot becomes bigger and bigger! God Bless
