Dr. Tenpenny begins with, I don’t know the author, but still want to share:
The donkey told the tiger, “The grass is blue.”
The tiger replied, “No, the grass is green.”
The discussion became heated, and the two decided to submit the issue to arbitration, so they approached the lion.
As they approached the lion on his throne, the donkey started screaming: ′′Your Highness, isn’t it true that the grass is blue?”
The lion replied: “If you believe it is true, the grass is blue.”
The donkey rushed forward and continued: ′′The tiger disagrees with me, contradicts me and annoys me. Please punish him.”
The king then declared: ′′The tiger will be punished with 3 days of silence.”
The donkey jumped with joy and went on his way, content and repeating ′′The grass is blue, the grass is blue…”
The tiger asked the lion, “Your Majesty, why have you punished me, after all, the grass is green?”
The lion replied, ′′You’ve known and seen the grass is green.”
The tiger asked, ′′So why do you punish me?”
The lion replied, “That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is degrading for a brave, intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with an ass, and on top of that, you came and bothered me with that question just to validate something you already knew was true!”
The biggest waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who doesn’t care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on discussions that make no sense. There are people who, for all the evidence presented to them, do not have the ability to understand. Others who are blinded by ego, hatred and resentment, and the only thing that they want is to be right even if they aren’t.
When IGNORANCE SCREAMS, intelligence moves on!

Someone takes crap and adds perfume and sugar and tells you it’s chocolate pudding. You’re warned by a passing stranger it is nothing but perfumed crap with sugar added. You don’t beleive him and say, “it looks fine and smells good to me.” The passing stranger just says, “If you say so, enjoy!” and moves on. My goto in this situation is found in Matthew 7:6, “do not cast your pearls before the swine”.
This is the time to learn to let go to receive in Divine and loving ways.
Unfortunately, we currently live in a world filled with many polarized ideological personalities more willing to fight to be right than to be open to challenge and question their beliefs as a means to find compromise and common ground for the good of the society.
I have often found that it’s a person’s steadfast ideology that often “won’t allow” themselves to even consider looking at the other side of an issue. They literally put their fingers in their ears and yell la la laaaa in order to prevent anyone’s counter argument or even sharing facts that would be beneficial for them! Unfortunately, many millennials are this way and block out any truth that might destroy their narrative bubble. *sigh* They don’t know what valuable information that they are missing. 🤷♀️🤦♀️
All I can do is 🙏🏻 for them and ask our Lord Jesus for protection over them.
This also goes to the Baby Boomers and Gen X for not coming to a place of humility and repenting for not teaching the generations after them about the true relationship we can have with Jesus. Who bought into the systems and even created them? Just look at the 60’s. We can sit here and blame a generation that have not yet even been able to experience adult life and its lessons –but who taught them to be this way? I am a Gen X and I had to come to that place where I asked forgiveness to my kids for the things that I did and did not do; I taught them so therefore they only emulate what the one before them IS. One thing I also have been trying to get over is my anger and forgive is at the previous generation for being so selfish to think that their golf games, prestigious jobs, the push for their children to be the TOP whatever prestigious career; medicare and social security, even church and ministries, all the worship of SYSTEMS instead of simply being with their families and teaching them about love, care, simplicity, humility, discipline; it seems that the older generations were just too busy then to just BE a parent and “train the generations after where they needed to go”.
Maybe we all need to as generations to come to this place of seeing that we are all to blame and come to that place of asking our Father for forgiveness and from others.

I hear you on this and you’re right.
In my case, as one of those now aging Boomers, I married an unsaved man who eventually made the decision to repent and take Christ as his Lord and Savior. We had many tumultuous years before, and some even after.
Our young daughter was an AWANA girl in her youth, but when she went to a secular college, she changed and went leftist – even more so after marrying.
Our son attended a Christian college and is a Jesus champion- even went on a missions trip recently.
Of course, this is just one example of one family and there are many others with their own life experiences.
I continue to pray for our daughter & her family (several problems there) and I try to share biblical truth with them when I see them (which isn’t happening now).
There is always hope through Jesus Christ – in any circumstance that we all face. That’s what my husband and I continue to hold onto.
All generations need that forgiveness. It might sound like a cliche, but no generation (or individual) is perfect. We are at the mercy of God and saved by the One who is perfect – Jesus Christ. He is the ultimate answer to all that ails us in this life.
As parents, we can be very hard on ourselves. Oftentimes, we think that we “did the best we could.” There is often the need for repentance because of how we may have knowingly, or unknowingly, did a lousy job.
Scripture informs us that “we all fall short of the glory of God.” But, we have that blessed hope! And, like you wrote – it all depends on asking for forgiveness through Jesus Christ our Lord! 🙏🏻✝️❤️

Fools & Idiots are one thing. Eph 6:12 covers today’s challenge spotlighting the real reasons.
And during the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said… Matthew 5:44. “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;…”. And Jesus goes on to explain how this is for our benefit as the children of God. We aren’t called to do this for our enemy’s benefit as much as for our own. God’s word, always sharper than a two-edged sword, especially to His children. Cuts deep… I’m feeling this one, full on!! 🙏💖
I hear you, John. Standing against the “wiles of the devil” is tougher than dealing with “fools and idiots.” Thank God for His “whole armor” to help us stand against the evil we will all face in this world.
