By Rachel Gilmore Global News: The Canadian Trucking Alliance, which Trudeau touted on Monday as the “biggest trucker association in Canada” has spoken out against the pending protests.
“The Canadian Trucking Alliance does not support and strongly disapproves of any protests on public roadways, highways, and bridges,” they said in a statement on Saturday, just 24 hours before the convoy of largely unvaccinated truckers was set to leave British Columbia en route to Ottawa.
“CTA believes such actions — especially those that interfere with public safety — are not how disagreements with government policies should be expressed.”

In defense of horses who’ve been abused for centuries, blankets and coats should be put on them in Canada. It’s freezing there. The Amish are not compassionate towards their horses even though they’re used for hard work/labor. I don’t admire these people at all. I admit they’re support for the truckers is positive but unusual.
Horses are brute animals for them. For me, horses are God’s beautiful creatures.
God bless Henry Ford for the car. And yes, I despise carriage horses in NYC ( many have dropped dead on the street) New Orleans , southern or northern cities. Carriages are not glamorous nor romantic. The horrors the horses go through in nyc are unconscionable but marxistdems don’t care. Mostly illegal alien Irish drivers in nyc .
I have battled against horse carriages and will continue to do so. Cruelty disguised as fun is still cruelty. Horses don’t belong in traffic. Walk, it’s good exercise !
I also won’t watch the Olympics in communist China and also because they torture and eat CATS ( & dogs)! I have fought against that tortuous abuse and cruelty for decades & will continue to do so.

Anyone here old enough to remember the Convoy song from the 70’s? Big fun hit during the CB craze. There was a serious side to the song, too. It dealt with the struggles truckers were facing with restrictive speed limits, tolls, bureaucracy and fuel costs.

Well Dianne, you really did it now…I’m pulling out my vinyl today and firin’ up some goodies but oldies..haha
If you haven’t yet, everyone best stock up on some food, water and supplies. Just in case your grocer shelves go bare.
We are already having bare shelves here in the north Georgia mountains. Luckily we are stocked up but I worry about my neighbors. We live in a poor community and most are oblivious to any of this craziness. I have been getting extra so we can share when we need too. Another new thing we have been dealing with is power outages after wild weather. They paint our sky in stripes and a few days later we have storms with wind gusts strong enough to snap trees and telephone/power poles in half. Seriously. In the past month we have been without power twice- once for 4 full days and the other time for 2. This showed us how unprepared we were for long stretches without power and we have filled the gaps.
Tammi Kay – you are prepared to help bless many others. This is the big push forward!
Yes, truckers unite! If they will stand and band together, they are a powerful force. They can get things to change. My dad was a trucker and if he was still here, he would be joining in. God bless them and protect them and all the people standing against injustice. Like one truck said, “It’s time to take our country back!” I can’t wait to see the U.S. truckers unite together like the Canadians are doing!
