Since 2000 China has been buying up a lot of American based oil companies and other technologies. Purchases have become more rapid under the Obama administration and are now becoming a real concern to many who are scrutinizing such purchases. Especially the oil companies. These resources presently can not legally be exported so the question remained as to why the foreign interest. That question is beginning to have a bit of light shed upon it as we see the TTP act taking hold. This trade act would allow China to take all their vested American interests and ship them world wide. It would erase world borders completely when it comes to trade.
Not only have the Chinese been buying up oil, gas and technologies, they have also taken over Smithfield foods, real estate and a multitude of other markets. American corporations have welcomed the influx of money, and boasted of new jobs being created by the Chinese deals. Meanwhile what they don’t talk a lot amount is the increased knowledge of high tech data bases and possible cyber security breeches. 
Chinese investments in U.S. telecommunications companies have given these new partners access to vast global telecommunications and technology infrastructures including undersea, terrestrial, wireless, and space-based networks. These joint ventures and third party investments give China leverage in the U.S. marketplace and could provide China access to or control of vital U.S. and allied information, networks or segments of critical supply chains. It is a growing concern to cyber security. So while jobs are jobs…what is the real means to the end here? And why have the Bush and Obama administrations been so willing to allow China to buy up so much of America’s infrastructure, oil and technology? Where is the media on the real issues?
