The President of Argentina – Christina Fernandez de Kirchener announced before the United Nations that her nation had been approached by an Obama administration official, Gary Samore, former White House Coordinator for Arms Control and Weapons of Mass Destruction, requesting them to provide enriched nuclear fuel to the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2010. (Samore did not dispute this claim).
The request fell short when Kirchener asked for the deal in writing and Samore was never heard from again.
Samore did release a statement admitting that he made the request in 2010 and Argentina balked at the deal. He also admitted that he had approached France and Russia with a similar proposal. That deal fell through as well. The deal was supposedly to allow Iran to send their low enriched uranium to Russia to enrich further, then send it to France to finish converting it into nuclear reactor fuel then send it back to Iran for its own use. Supposedly in an effort to prevent Iran from weaponizing its uranium stockpiles. That deal also fell through.
These deals lead to a new U.N. resolution that increased economic sanctions on Iran. And eventually to the bargaining table for the horrible deal Obama has worked out with them this year.
Obama’s White House administration has not responded to these potentially treasonous allegations as of yet.
The real hard question that needs to be asked is this- what is the Obama administration’s real goal?

The headline is inaccurate. Kirchener did not accuse Obama of treason. She said that Argentina had been asked to receive low-enriched unranium which was already in Iran’s possession, in Iran, and to convert it into fuel (of higher enrichment) for reactors, then return that uranium to Iran.
That’s what she said had occurred. She did not “accuse Obama of treason”. That’s your word, not hers.

As much as i would like to say this is a smoking gun you need to listen to her speech. It was during the Iran treating negotiation. they wanted to get them to provide fuel rods for nuclear power plants if they could get Iran to completely dismantle their nuclear enrichment program. which would have been a good deal but we all know how that went.

Okay, so all of you seem to not have read the article, including the author or his editors. How is it treason to attempt to prevent Iran from enriching their own Uranium by sending it first to countries who allow UN inspections? This entire article makes no sense, and only shows Obama has tried tirelessly to prevent Iran from creating their own nuclear weapons… You people should seriously consider getting an education.
It broke a UN resolution. To ask Argentina, Russia and France to take part was not a wise thing to do as he was asking them all to take part in illegal actions that went against conditions the nations had all agreed too. So whoever it was that said this was an inflammatory right wing hyperbole is gravely mistaken.
It has been double standards to the world. The same as they have been felt here within the US. A standard for the presidents administration (present and past) and a standard to shut up and do as told for the people. The UN has been playing the same game with the nations. You assert that Samore released a certain statement. I assumed that you had read that statement before making said assertion. Did you not do so? If you did, why can you not post your link? As the person making the assertion, you bear the burden of proof.

You’ve also omitted some important details that appear in that original article. For example, that article asserts that Samore “has been open about his opposition to the nuclear agreement currently worked out between Obama and Iran”,
and
“Kirchener said that Samore wanted Argentina to provide nuclear fuel to Iran, ostensibly to counter Iran’s excuse that they needed nuclear fuel for their reactors, removing the impetus for them to continue their own uranium enrichment program.”
Again, we don’t have the text of Samore’s statements. But your article gives makes Samore’s intentions sound much more damning than is justified even by the claims made in the original article (which was published by a conservtive organization).

Well folks our media has done it again. You do Not have to Enrich uranium to weapons grade to use it in a Nuclear Reactor. For many reasons it is not considered safe. tell the whole story or go back to McDonalds.
We were all warned what would happen if we elected Obama into office. The Democrats control of the major networks prevented this information from getting out to the American people. The idea of this guy, who hasn’t denied what he did, going around trying to get uranium enriched to reactor standards to pull out the excuse that they need to enrich it themselves kind of does sound like who they are and what they believe. The fact that the guy, Smores (intended misspelling), was against the recent treaty makes it seem much more plausible than treason. And now as our allies in western Europe rally at the thought of a Soviet solution against ISIS, we cannot look towards our own Commander in Chief from any answers, as Josh Earnest and the White House seems as awkward as a three legged cat covering a trud on a frozen pond. But, more importantly is the underlining truth that Mr. Obama really doesn’t wish to take military action against ISIS for reasons of his personal views about the Islamic State, weather radicalized, or not. That his not only the American citizens scratching their heads, but our experienced military leadership hands tied due to the Constance micromanagement by an Islamic breed and feed administration, that quite simply does want ISIS to loose.

What does Iran need with a nuclear reactor ? They are sitting one of the largest stockpiles of oil in the world. They can have cheap energy for hundreds of years.

The reason being with limited numbers of centrifuges to enrich uranium, it takes a lot less time to enrich to a weapons grade level if your feedstock is already enriched uranium at the fuel level.
What can be enriched to energy usage is low level compared to weapon grade. Iran can still continue to enrich the uranium to weapon grade if they wanted.
Infiltrate your sovereignty? The US is the biggest war monger on the planet. You are not the world’s police. Stay home and fix up America willya.
Maybe you missed history 101. America has a number of treaties around the world obligating it to support this nation or that republic. We still have a treaty obligation with South Korea, for example. And Japan, Taiwan, Australia and even your little sheep herder’s paradise. If China decides the USA is weak or stretched too thin and takes Taiwan with almost no opposition from the US, what do you think the odds are that they’ll move on the Philippines before the USA re-establishes a military presence there? Or use one of their new subs to take out Andersen AFB on Guam? If they did, then threatened the S.E. Asian states unless they submitted to China’s “protection” how quickly would those countries knuckle under if there would be no help from the USA? Does NZ or Oz have enough of a navy and air force to prosecute a war against China? Even if combined with Japan, I doubt it.
