THE SACRIFICE OF OUR LORD ONCE AND FOR ALL THE ATONEMENT FOR ALL SINS…A NEW WAY, A NEW TESTAMENT GOD HAS MADE WITH HIS PEOPLE – ALL OF THEM!
The political upheaval at the time of Jesus was not something that just sprang up all of a sudden. It was a long process of events leading up to that appointed time. The Five Books of Maccabees explain all the history that took place from the time of Daniel to the coming of the Messiah. An understanding of the events help to open our eyes to a lot of unanswered questions pertaining to the days our Lord ministered and taught the people and how the politics of the day played a role that threatened those in power.

Read CHAPTER I page 398, at the time of BC 40

The history of Herod when the Romans appointed him king- over the Jews, and his departure from Rome with an army to fight against the Holy House.
“Augustus and the senate, informed of what Antigonus had done, with one consent appointed Herod king over the Jews; commanding him to put a golden diadem on his head, and to mount a horse, and that it should be proclaimed by trumpets preceding him, ” Herod is king over the Jews ” and the holy city Jerusalem :” which was done. And returning to Augustus, he rode, and Augustus, and Antony; and they went to Antony’s house, who had invited the senate and all the citizens of Rome to a banquet which he had prepared. And they did eat and drink, and rejoiced over Herod with great joy, making with him a treaty engraven in tables of brass ; and it was placed in the temples. And they inscribed that day as the first of Herod’s reign, and from that time it was taken for an era, by which times are counted. After these things, Antony and Herod departed by sea with a great and abundant army and when they came to Antioch, they divided their forces, and Antony took a part and led it into the country of the Persians which is Herak and the parts adjacent, and Herod, taking another part, went straight till he came to Ptolemais.“
Five Maccabees takes you into the clear history up to the times of 3 and 4 bc where you see all that took place in the capturing of Israel and all the battles of Rome, Egypt and surrounding conflicts with Persia during this time of possession of Israel under Roman rule. These are things that were in our Bible but taken out and hidden. Why? Because it shows the political landscape and the evils of the days in Jerusalem and the area at the time Jesus came to set up God’s Kingdom. It displays many of the same corruptions and upheavals we are seeing today and going through the same challenges that will Usher in the Lord’s return. For evil cannot, nor never shall be blessed.
You will understand more clearly why King Herrod was threatened by the workings of John The Baptist and his mission as one “Crying in the wilderness” as prophecied in Isaiah, for he was the last of the Levitical Priesthood and had just transferred the Priesthood over to the Messiah that was to come by the Heavenly Priesthood of the Order of Melchizedek. They all knew this and were threatened for they were all evil hearted men, concerned only with their own vain positions and to keep them nothing was beyond their hearts to keep their power and status, be it bribery, war, or murder.

Isaiah 40:3King James Version
3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Mark 1:3King James Version
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
The High priest, Pharisees, Saducees, and King Herod would and did do anything possible to keep the people of Jerusalem in their proper lockstep placement. Even going as far as to kill the one crying in the wilderness who was John the Baptist, and following up with their true Messiah, Jesus the Son of God. You will see the ugly truth that took place in history that prepared and led up to the time Jesus was born. You will understand more clearly why the angel told Joseph and Mary to leave Bethlehem and flee to Egypt. For there had already been a place prepared there as a result of the turmoil in the days of the Maccabean revolt. You will see…there were still many Jewish temples and teachings in Alexandria. And why it made perfect protection to go there. Understanding the past events that were hidden, help us to see more clearly what the upheavals at the time of our lord and his ministry were sent to correct. For they all had gone astray far away from the commandments of God and were now following the commandments of men.
Does this sound familiar? We presently have over (so I heard a pastor say) 38,000 denominations of the Church. God is not the author of confusion. These divisions all have their own man made covenants. So how do we choose the right one … which one is of the Lord? Which one is the Lord’s church for those called out? The first disciples were called the followers of the way, for they followed the way of Jesus. Later at Antioch they were called Christos…little Christ followers…and it was not presented in a glorifed manner..it was a name given to them as a label and a mocking. But they took it and kept it just the same. Similar to Trump supporters being called deplorables.
The Temple at the time of the Maccabees was the second Temple Period. The fear of The High Priest Caiaphas and King Herod
It was Jesus birthright and proven by geneology to be in line to become both the High Priest and King of Israel. Both the High Priest Caiaphas and King Herod both felt threatened by Jesus. But, he did not pursue to be an earthly king or priest for he was the Messiah and the High Priest of the Heavenly Order of Melchizedek. He is the King of Kings, the Son of God and his kingdom is not of this world. Refer to the book of Hebrews in the King James Version.
Psalms 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 6: 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
The Levitical Priesthood was until the Messiah who is of the Heavenly Priesthood by the order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 5:6 Context
2Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. 3And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins. 4And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. 5So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, today have I begotten thee. 6As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 7Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
Hebrews 5:10 Context
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. 11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Hebrews 7:9 Context
6But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. 8And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. 9And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. 10For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him. 11If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

The Red Heifer
“He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.” (Isaiah 11:12; see also Jeremiah 23:3, 8; Ezekiel 28:25; Ezekiel 11:17; Zechariah 10:6–12; Psalm 147:2)
The purpose of the sacrifice of a red heifer was to atone for the sins of Israel. The question is this – is it necessary to do this today? If so why? First let us look at who the King of Tyre really is.

EZEKIEL 28:25 IN ITS CONTEXT: 12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

ARE YOU SEEING WHO THIS IS YET?
Satan, The Prince and King of Tyrus | People Get Ready
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
20 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
21 Son of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesy against it, (Zidon is the first born of Canaan)
22 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
23 For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
24 And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord God.
25 Thus saith the Lord God; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
26 And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the Lord their God.
In Hebrews 9:1 it explains that the first covenant had ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. It explains that the Levitical Priesthood first had a tabernacle made where they placed the candlestick, the table, and the shewbread which was called the sanctuary. When you entered there was a second veil which behind it was a tabernacle called the Holiest of all; The Holy of Holies. In this Holy of Holies was the golden censer and the ark of the covenant which was overlaid round about with gold. Inside it held the golden pot that had manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant (commandments of God). Over the top of the ark of the covenant were cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat. Concerning the mercy seat Hebrews states we cannot now speak particularly, which indicates something changed?

Hebrews states that when these things were ordained, the priests always went into the first tabernacle, and accomplished the service of God, but only the high priest was allowed to enter into the Holy of Holies and to go in alone. Even then, the high priest was only to enter it once every year and to enter with blood that he offered for himself and for the errors or sins of the people.
It notes specifically that the Holy Ghost thus signified that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing.
Hebrews 9:8 “The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing.”
This was the practice under the Levitical Priesthood, as Hebrews states it was for the time then present in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices that could not make the one doing the service perfect pertaining to the conscience. The other practices concerning meats, drinks and different types of ceremonial washings and carnal ordiances that were imposed on them did this and this was to be done only until the time of reformation which that would be when their true Messiah came.
Hebrews clearly states that Christ came as high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with mans hands, meaning “not of this building“. He stresses that it was not by the blood of goats and calves, but by HIS OWN BLOOD He entered in ONCE into the holy place, having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION FOR US.
It is then stressed that if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctified to the purifying of the flesh than how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? It was the perfect sacrifice once and for all.

Hebrews 9:13-14 King James Version
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
So it was for this cause that our Lord is the mediator of the new testament that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal life – eternal inheritance. Hebrews explains that where there is a testament, there must also be the death of the testator, for a testament is of force after men are dead, otherwise it is of no strength while the testator lives.
Hebrews explains that the first testament (what we call the old testament) was dedicated without blood and shows that Moses spoke every precept to all the people according to the law, and took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop and sprinkled both the book and all the people saying, this is the blood of the testament which God hath given to you. He also sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministy.
Under the old testament almost all things are by the law, purged with blood and without the shedding of blood there is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified in the manner instructed by Moses and performed as a shadow of things to come. But the heavenly things to come were themselves better sacrifices than these that they did. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands which the Holy of Holies represented the heavens, But Christ entered into heaven itself, and now to appear in the presence of God for us.

Nor should the Lord have to offer himself up often, like the high priests do yearly enter into the holy place with the blood of others.
It states in Hebrews 9:24-28
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
In all that is written it is stating clearly that once the Messiah has come and sacrificed himself for all sins that it is finished. The days of blood sacrifices are over. The Temple and the Levitical Priesthood were a shadow of things to come and when the Lord Jesus came and offered his body as a living sacrifice, the former things were finished.

Hebrews 10:12-26
” But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;”
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.

Therefore, there is no need for the sacrifice of a red heifer to atone for sins for the Lord Jesus Christ has made that sacrifice and now sits on the right hand of God. So for followers of the Lord to look forward to the sacrifice of a red heifer is not in the commands of our Lord Jesus to do. Therefore, whatever the doings of those who reject Christ the Messiah, are not of a thing asked of us to do, nor anything we ought to partake in, nor glory in. At least that is what I see in the scriptures.
If any can show in scripture where this is what the Lord who is High Priest of the Order of Mechilzedek must do then bring the scripture(s) forward. What I have found are scriptures showing the new priesthood and the commandments for those who follow the way of the Lord. In those scriptures it is clear that the days of blood sacrifice for atonement of sins are complete by the death and ressurection of our Lord Jesus the Christ.
Again the scriptures clearly state Jesus our Lord is now seated on the right hand of God our Father in heaven.
Keep pressing forward into the Kingdom of God!

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of G-d as the waters cover the sea.” (Yeshayah [Isaiah] 11:9)
My husband and I lead Bible study for a group of young adults and the pne thing I have been drilling into them that I never was taught in church is that when you receive Jesus your sins are remembered no more. You are transformed into righteousness and officially a child of the Most High God! You are clean and no longer called a sinner. We still sin but the difference is that we are no longer unclean. This is NOT what is taught in most churches and that is why they want you in that institution – to keep you perpetually thinking you are still in unrighteousness in need of a Savior. Why in the Catholic church is Jesus always portrayed as still dying on the cross? Why do you always need to go to confession when you can go to the High Priest boldly and with confidence? Why is there a need for a pastor to keep talking to the believers about sin 24/7? Should we not be moving away from milk like babies and eat of the meat? Mature Christians dont continue to think on sin; mature Christians think about living life victoriously. Mature Christians start producing the fruit of the Spirit.
What do you think about Romans 11:22?
Are you talking about faith or works? I am pretty sure this has to do with losing faith.
Thank you for responding. Am I assuming you believe some can loose their faith?
Really one may ask did they have faith to begin with? The story of the seed on the soil shows this. God allows us to choose to follow Him. Colossians explains this well- many want to go back to the law and forgo the freedom we have in Jesus Christ. When one truly puts their trust in Jesus the Holy Spirit starts the work of sanctifying. I can totally rest in the Holy Spirit and allow Him to work in my life changing those areas of sin in my life because of FAITH. Faith is the key. This is the key ingredient in Abrahams life as well; Abraham was far from perfect and even lied but his faith is what saved him.
Faith, Amen. Once you receive the Lord – he dwells in you. I’ve never heard a pastor say this…I have heard say..now you need to receive the Holy Ghost and then they drill you. It is not the Word of God at all. Jesus never drilled anyone on their salvation. Nor did he have to. He never had an alter call. He never kept people in perpetual sin…he told them, go and sin no more. Were they supposed to go and be perfect? No…he meant in the heart, mind and soul.We all fall short. He said this. We are to press forward with him. Fear not for fear creates lack of faith. Look at the patience he had with his own disciples in teaching. He never told them many of the things modern Christians are hearing. And he never drilled anyone. There was no fruit in that.
Jesus said, “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.” – Rev. 3:2
23 Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”
He said to them, 24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.” – Luke 13:23-24
Was this not before His death that He said this? There were no Christians at that time, only the law abiding Jews, which it is true at this time it would be only very few that would know Him, because rhe law was the only way to salvation. After His death the Holy Spirit indwells anyone who receives and that keeps those that truly accepted the gift of salvation.
Amen. That is a perfect example of a scripture being taken out of understanding by not knowing the times. To interpret it as few there will be is to take away from Abraham’s blessing that his children will be as the numbers of the stars in the sky. The Bible is not hard to understand once you ask the Lord to show you and leave the other memorized instructions out of it. Just as he warned them of the tribulation to come…and it did it was barbarous and horrid. We are taught it is coming and all the martyrs who were tortured and died all through history are erased as though that never happened. As though it ever stopped. It has never stopped.
In your opinion Dianne, why do you think Jesus would exhort His disciples to teach people to “obey/observe everything He has commanded them” in Mat 28:20(a).
1 John 2:3-4, “We knowthat we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.
Dianne, this is why I feel safe on your blog. Your understanding of the scripture is clear and I recognize that the Holy Spirit is at work here. It is a blessing to share with likeminded believers.
When the time for the Lord to return, which I see is now and has been for a long time, there will be a remnant…when we look at all the people in the world, and the 38,000 denominations and all the interpretations and man made covenants…we see much confusion. We went from left behind to prosperity preaching. A remnant? At this time…yes indeed a remnant. But there is a great revival of coming to the truth…and it has not been the peoples fault. They have followed those that were teaching. Those who had credentials and anyone who said any different was told they were not qualified to have their own opinion let alone teach. We are as the first followers of the way of Jesus, and we didn’t even see it. Some stubborn because they saw the truth, dug deeper and deeper to find it and they found it like a treasure. Like the pearl of great price. Amen. And yet still, there are some who strain at a gnat and swallow a camel.
Yes there is a remnant and I totally believe that if one has their trust completely in God- He is the Father who will lead His children home. God does not “guilt trip” His kids; we are CONVICTED in our own spirit by the Spirit to want to do good works because why?? The two commandments (as you have said before)- Love the Lord your God and love others. What is the result of this?? Oh you will know- “a peace that passes ALL understanding”. I have complete peace in my Savior without all the baggage. I love Jesus- He is my Savior. Amen.☺️
In my opinion, Peter likely had Jesus’ words of Luke 13:24 in mind when he said “if it is hard/difficult for the righteous to be saved” in 1 Peter 4:18.
Like Dianne stated above you must understand the times. Peter was of the “old guard” a Jew, who only knew the law compared to total faith. Paul taught opposite; all you have to do is read Colossians and Galations to fugure this out. How is the Gentile EVER going to be able to follow ALL the law according to Moses (or Jew for that matter)? To keep preaching the law is diminishing Jesus Christs death and what He did for us. Preaching the law keeps you bound to sin and its slavery. When you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit it is HE that sanctifies and makes you like Jesus. I can claim no victory over my own sin- Jesus did it for me once to make me righteous and He keeps sanctifying me because of my trust in Him to do so; as Paul would say in 2 Corinthians “I boast in my weaknesses, for when I am weak then I am strong”.
Exactly, Jesus taught that it was not what went into the body that defiled it, it was what came out. It is clear that the laws of Moses, God’s commands are still to be followed, but all the laws of the Temple made by man in the Sanhendrin, were nailed to the cross. Jesus told them they sit in the seat of Moses making laws that were so heavy they could not live by them. He said, “Matthew 23:15 15Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” This is also seen today. And has been seen all along the way. Especially in the formation of Constantines Mega Church that spliced the words of Jesus down to four gospels. When it is written that books of his works would fill the world . John 21:25 25Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. So we are left with a remnant of what Jesus did. Why? Because he was the son of God and the true Messiah and it is Satan in this world that has snuck in and corrupted men to write more to destroy the truth in the Bible and turn it into confusion. When he could not kill every follower, he sought to convert them as sheep under false shepherds. He was not able to pasture all of them. But many as we see in the letters to the Churches in Revelations 2 and 3. But The Lord has placed it in our hearts for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. Amen.
In my opinion there is a direct connection in the following:
”teaching them (the nations) to obey/observe everything I have commanded you” – Mat. 28:20 (a).
22 For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will send you a prophet, just as he sent me, and he will be one of your own people. You are to obey everything that he tells you to do. 23 Anyone who does not obey that prophet shall be separated from God’s people and destroyed.’ – Acts 3:22-23
11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. – Heb. 4:11
2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds/works
unfinished in the sight of My God. Rev. 3:2
Moses indeed said to obey the prophets. The old testament is filled with the books of the prophets. How die we get into the prophets? Joel speaks of the gift of prophecy and dreams in the last days…we all have it we were just taught we did not by many church doctrines. In revelations it states the testamony of Jesus is the gift of prophecy. Entering into God’s rest is in the Lord. Hebrews 4:4 for he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
The message in Hebrews 4 is to continue to prophesy of Jesus and of the prophets to the nations. This is the great commission.
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
So all have this gift to share the good news. We don’t need to wait for a specific prophet to pop up…we have them in the word and if others come forward with interpretations and word from God this is indeed a gift, for we all have the gifts we need to learn how to use them. The Holy Spirit is given to all through Christ, for he was the covenant fulfilled. Amen.
Did you see the connection that we are to try to diligently obey everything Jesus taught? Thanks for responding. 🙂
Of course. The two witnesses spoken of in Revelations are the old testafiers and the new testafiers…these are the two witnesses. For all they forsaw and foretold to come are in fact fulfilled in the Lord’s coming and the new testament is cross referenced for edification with the worlds of the prophets and the history recorded in Numbers, Kings etc. Both come together as two witnesses in Christs name and in his coming. The Messiah for all. There are so many testimonies and all prophecy is the testamony of Jesus Christ our Lord says Revelation. Yet many are looking for Moses or Elijah or Enoch to appear as a witness when they are already witnessing through the word of God. The dispensation stories have filled minds with deception and people chase false hoods. And they follow what I call the false flag prophecies to fulfill false flag devil mockings, unknowingly. It is taught and they memorize and they repeat it. God is not the author of confusion.
Hebrews shows us the prophets testamonies and shows us how the levitical priesthood was a shadow of things to come…and now it is fulfilled and how Christ fulfilled the words of the Prophets. Yet, rapture folk don’t read Hebrews…for such reasons. They say that was written for the Jews not the gentiles. It was written for all to read and learn wisdom from.
I am not disregarding Peter here at all because he was on a journey to understand why His Savior came to die. Peter was rebuked by Paul when Paul told him that it is only faith that saves. Peter then understood this in a dream given to him by God about the clean and unclean animals.
– Heb. 4:11
2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds/works unfinished in the sight of My God. Rev. 3:2
See my response above regarding Moses and the prophets. It clarifies it clearly. We have a great commission to spread the gospel of the Lord. I am not sure what Terry is trying to say to you. But you are correct in what you are saying. Terry may be correct as well, he is just not articulating clearly. Not sure if he missed the point or is just unable to convey.
And it is not by works that any of us find salvation. Works without faith is dead. So one could so all sorts of good works and miss the entire point. Also one can have salvation and not much works…they still find salvation but their rewards are few. It does not mean you don’t have salvation. Don’t let anyone play devils advocate in your head that is not of the Lord, nor is it of the Holy Spirit. It is an agitation and not edifying at all.
You and Faith and anyone else are completely welcome on My Facebook page as it is fully public to all and I will not shun anyone or their comments. My search is Terry Michael, with a profile picture of a blue sky with white wispy cirrus clouds and John 20:17 and Rev. 3:12 embedded in the picture.
Thank you Terry for your dialogue. 🙂
One of the things I have been clarifying with our young adults is that without your heart given to God the works don’t matter. Works are not what God is most concerned about- it is your heart and growing the fruit of the Holy Spirit (goodness, joy, patience, long-suffering, meekness, kindness, self-control). Out of the fruit much is produced and the seed of that fruit is then able to spread to those around you.
Matthew 15:8“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.”
This was the verse that I relayed to them also: Matthew 7:22
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”
Without the heart loving Jesus none of this matters. Here is something from the Old Testament to that fact when the Hebrews were doing the work but their hearts were far from God.
Isaiah 29:13
“Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:”
Dianne, you are such a biblical scholar! Question for you: do you think that people who commit suicide are doomed to Hell? I think I’ve heard Kim Clement talk about it once in a video.
Kim Clements does not and neither do I. The only sin condemning one to separation of God is to deny the Lord Jesus. Clement accounts the suicide as a sin like all sins and the Lord said there is no sin greater than another. Kim does have a good video teaching on that.

I am in agreement with this one. Sin is sin – there are no favorites in Gods eyes. Now as far as the world goes and the natural law set in place by God at Creation, certain sin have consequences that are more detrimental to the human race and carries more hardship, stigma, and vulnerabilty for more abuse. These certain sins also further one to separate themselves from relationship with God and even recognizing who God is. Does this mean they wont come to God? No, because God can take the lowliest and despicable person and bring him to acknowledge Him- example: Nebuchadnezzar and Paul (Saul).
We dont know where the hearts of those who commit suicide are at the time of death- I am sure we may be surprised at all who enter the Lord Gods paradise. Just my thoughts-🙏☺️
Spot on.
22 Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. – Rom. 11:22

Dianne, Thank you for tying these things together for me. I found this very helpful.
There are so many people misleading us it is difficult to sort through the confusion.
You bring clarity of thought and reference Scripture in context to verify your conclusions.

Colossians 1:20 Is A Great Verse
”Having Made PEACE By The Blood 🩸 Of His Cross By Him I Say To Reconcile All Things To Himself Whether They Be Things In Earth Or Heaven
Ron Wyatt found The Ark of the Covenant in Jeremiah’s cave directly below the location where Jesus was crucified. The final battle against the forces of darkness will be in Israel — and once valiant warriors of Christ possess the Ark and bring it forth we will be victorious! The living blood of our Lord and Savior is upon the Mercy Seat! No evil man shall ever diminish the saving grace and power of God once all has been revealed! We are truly living in the time of Revelation! the final battle will take place in Israel where the Ark shall be brought forth to glorify the kingdom of God on Earth!
